LYRICS
Before all things reborn again
You learn the painful breath of time
Cold mourning stretches out your arms
To the mighty warmth of the golden sun
Seem all have gone insane for gold
All was created out of the night
We're all born from the burst of a star
The day you'll come to life you'll realize
Expanding force to life where you belong
And in the winter cold, with opened eyes
You'll find the strength to fight and stand upright
One day you'll walk the world and keep in mind
The heart you've been given in winter time
And through the bitter cold, with opened eyes
You'll find the strength to fight and stand upright

@@regal6679 o.O only thing honestly sounds close is the acoustic guitar. Every metal band has pretty much done some kind of acoustic songs, Slipknot perfect fitting example. But this song dont fall in that cat. either cuz there is a metal drop in it. its a hybrid piece. Water is a good song though glad you mentioned it.

How could I forget Soen, the group Martin Lopez is now in, excellent musicians and music. They're more than a Tool clone as some would say which is a disservice and Lopez is as awesome as ever, so glad to see him back in music. I met Opeth years ago at meet n greet not too long before he left and he looked bad physically, now he appears to be much healthier.

After seriously contemplating to end it all forever, this song ultimately held me back.this song prevented me from chosing an irreversible solution for what turned out to be manageable problem, thus at an epic scale. This song made me chose to stay here, for my beautiful wife, for my beloved children, for the friends that were happy to hear from me again. This song made me wanna live. Gojira saved my little live and I am so grateful for that.

+Cryogenics12 You know what the funny thing is: That is actually scientifically accurate. After the Big Bang, there were only two elements: Hydrogen and Helium. When large enough clusters of these elements came together, they formed stars. In the core of these stars, the fundamental building blocks of life were created: Carbon, Oxygen, Nitrogen, and more. As these stars died out, some became a supernova and essentially "bursted" these new elements into the cosmos. All of the Carbon in your DNA to the very Oxygen you're breathing and the Iron in your blood came from the burst of a star.

+Steve Rouse its true its a nice song, but only because wine is old it doesnt mean its good, its not scotch. wine depends on the year/place the grapes have been harvested and the way they were treated/conserved also the type of the barrel and cork . a good wine from 2014 is most likely better than some from 54' or 67' for example. *flies away drunk after testing too much wine*

Cesar Diaz metal couldn't possibly be more versatile! I think you need to explore more metal before you make such a big judgement on the genre. Most metal isn't mainstream music because obviously it's not exactly easy listening, so the most metal you non-metalhead listens to is the most stream generic music that's probably what you've experienced, but there is a whole world of metal out their with more sub-genres than i count! Its much more extensive than you probably think

Thats not even to mention the years of the mostly silent turmoil ive been through in my childhood and teens. Sometimes i just have to step back, and take a breather, and tell myself i can do this. What's with all the Tool references i keep seeing (only on youtube). If it's progressive, it's Tool? Let's just shit shit in the plate and say Gojira sounds like King Crimson.

Matt Graham Nobody said its Tool but Tool's influences are clearly visible/audible Joe Duplantier himself accepts Gojira is highly inspired by Tool the art work lyrical theme compositions everything. Someone who has been following Tool's work would know.

As a metalhead and Muslim, i approve of this song. Swear this reminds me of what Islam teaches. "Before all things reborn again" the day of Judgement. "You learn the painful breath of time" you suffer through the test of time in the world till after time stops which is Judgement day. "Seems all have gone insane for gold" Islam teaches us the fundamental importance of not worshipping or succumbing to your worldly or material desires. "We are all born from a burst of a star" Although in the Qur'an it says life originates from water, everything is also made from dust which is what came after the burst of the sun. Then the last verse just reminds me of Jihad which means struggle in Arabic. Only through Allah, we are given this strength to fight and stand upright against the harsh test of life (time). If you win the fight i promise you, Allah will reward you in the hereafter which is after space and time. This is not the end my friends. As Salam Alaikum wa Rahmut Allah wa Barakatu. (Peace and blessings from Allah may be upon you all.)

To those pointing out the Triangle, Gojira has been deep in the industry and they know what they are talking about. The clip shows time scrolling, from the beginning of existence to our own existence, this clip is about existence, time, and life. Do you really think the guys would just put the Triangle in a matter of fashion ? These guys don't follow trends, they have a message to deliver. This song is inspirational, it gives a taste of what perfection is, it's almost scary. Can't you see they are trying to say "open your eyes"?
