I found a tip for thrift stores without a changing room. Wear thin leggings and a sleeveless shirt under your clothes. You can try on the clothes over them without having to get completely undressed.

I can't fathom trying on used clothes! I take things home and wash them. I even wash new clothes from regular stores. Who knows where it's been, how many hands have touched it, where it's been stored, how many other people have also tried it on, etc. I guess I am an easy person for clothes because I still wear the same size I did in high school. It's rare that I think something will fit me and it does not. But, yeah, no clothing is touching my body until it's washed!

@@lauralutz4538 my best friend grew up in the USSR. She never had new clothes until she moved to America. She had all hand me downs. Things are not made the same or have the same quality. Victoria is a minimalist so most likely Agatha wears through her clothes cause she doesn’t have a closet full like Americans. Let her be a kid. They’re both adorable. I’ve had a blessed life and I would not care to share with someone else and pay whatever postage. I know it’s very expensive. My bff still has family overseas. I offered and Victoria is the type that would never ask. There’s another Russian KZreadrs we all showered with gifts when they had their baby. They were so grateful and such kind people like Victoria and Tolya. They left their home country and will never be able to return. Toylike would go to prison! We don’t understand what that’s like. We’ve never had war on the continental United States but we’re probably going to. A little kindness, thoughtfulness and thinking of others who haven’t had the same opportunities as us is the right and moral thing to do in my mind and heart. You can’t help where you were born. God loves us all.❤️

That was interesting and observational. Here in the UK our second hand clothes shops are called 'charity' shops, which is not the best name for those using them. Much better to use the term 'Thrift' because that imparts the label of a person with good sense using them.

Oh I love thrifting and this was a good therapy to see you go shopping and going through already loved clothes.😍❤️ Regarding the quality of clothes, I was once discussing secondhand clothes with my friend who's a sewer lady and she told me very good thing about it. That those clothes are even better than the ones in stores, because they were already washed multiple (many) times before, so the quality and state of the fabric is already "shown" when you buy it. It's not a surprise as if the clothes were new, you come home, wash then and they fall apart. As you see thrifted clothes in the shop, that's how the fabric quality and stretch is going to look like when you wash it, it's a done and honest deal. 😊 if that makes sense. If kids clothes are cotton (or other natural material) and they’re stained, you can dye them to bit darker or brighter color and stains will not be visible at all:) that’s what I do with my clothes - I dye them and they become as good as new. Also do this to clothes that I won’t keep, just so they can be used longer by someone else instead of going to landfill.

The cute pants for Adeline with the blue flowers are thermal pants or waffle fabric. Its such a soft, warm fabric and wonderful for winter! Clothing just isn't well made anymore, the fabrics wear out quickly, they grab onto stains and don't release them as well and even the seams are not the same quality anymore. Anytime you can buy used and save the difference is the best way to purchase children's clothing! If you do a Q&A anytime soon, can you talk about how different it is where you are living compared to Russia, including cost of living and the difference in weather in each season! It would be so interesting to hear this information. Also how school is there compared to Russia and what age children are required to start. Are you legally allowed to homeschool in Russia or in Georgia?

You have such good taste! You inspire me for a lot of things! And indeed my oldest one always comes home with holes in her clothes 😅 thank you for sharing! So much fun! Love and light from a family in Bulgaria! Btw Hema is a Dutch brand.
