Very good rewrite. Your one of the few people that acknowledge the fact that Kong not being able to fight Godzilla by himself makes the whole movie feel pointless.

Look, i'm a hardcore Kong Fan, i would die with a poster of him in my arms if that's a way to go, but Godzilla Vs. Kong was the best Monster Movie i've ever seen, not even King of the Monsters was this good, i hardly imagine someone will ever top this in terms of pure emotional epicness being composed of cool lore, amazing soundtracks, awesome CGI, the world's two biggest monsters the cinema has ever seen and their huge fan bases and debates, being the fourth entry in a new awesome universe that basically started by accident... I don't have problems with the story, many probably have, but i think it's as simple as the story in a good monster movie should be, clear, cool, not too complicated, connecting nods with past films and answering past film's fan questions on the origins of these monsters... It's just too cool man, hope you'll fully appreciate Adam Wingard's greatest movie someday

Don't get me wrong I love all the monster stuff but I just felt the story could have been done better, I felt Kong was more of a back seat to godzillas problems , now after seeing the teaser for Godzilla x Kong and the summary I know most of my concerns will be fixed. I also felt the humans in this movie like all the others really bog down the plot, I love monster action but I would also love if they could build a great story to go along with it. Simple stories are fine but when it comes at the cost of plot holes and "just because we need this to happen" I feel you can write something more compelling. This movie can easily be topped, all the lore you spoke of they didn't really show which is my main issue with this movie. They did alot of just talking about it rather than showing us the lore and the war and the world's before the humans. I'm thankful we are going to be getting that in the next movie I just wish it happened in this one to really help build the world more. When the story is get to middle earth to blue tooth a energy source so mecha Godzilla can show up , it's not. Really a good story in my opinion. Yeah you had Godzilla vs Kong but they showed us no reason why they needed to fight. They just kept telling us because plot says they need to. Kong was just a small problem till Godzilla found mecha. So in building out are re write I wanted them to have more involved with eachother. Have better human stories to guide the movie. Madison Russel and her crew were a waste of screen time in this movie. They were only there to show us mecha when the villains could have done that without them some how sneaking around. The monster stuff was great but I need more than that to make it a great movie is all. Just trying to build the world more in our version. The soundtrack also wasn't as great as KOTM. So I hope they improve and really dial in the themes to make them more present in the next one.

Mane that movie was soo disappointing to me, and the fight did not live up to expectations it was to short and they didn’t do my boy Kong no justice, but that’s what happens when tha director is a Godzilla fan smh..

Agreed! That's why we did our best to give it a rewrite that benefits both sides and shows each others strength while giving more backstory that's easily more interesting than what we got with the human plot rather than diving into the monsters which finally we will get to see in the next film godzilla x Kong

I mean Godzilla always wins, he's an indestructible god in these monster verse films lol. We're just trying to make the story more interesting and even when it comes to what Kong can deliver when it comes to the fight. There is no actual loser since they will need to team up but Kong puts up a fight like he did in the actual movie but making Kong feel more like a believable adversary is the goal.

@@TwoHoursOnASunday It's why I like the novels and comics more than the movies. I'm so conflicted on them I know the monsterverse can do better but chooses not to? I have fun when watching but they all still feel like wasted potential but until I can write something better I shouldn't criticize and just keep brainstorming. If I remember right Ren's character basically feels he's the unloved child of the family and views Godzilla as the popular big brother because Ishiro put his work at Monarch and need to understand Godzilla over actually bonding with his son. I know it's not much but it would explain why he would want to pilot the Mechagodzilla or have some conflict about it and it's better than literally nothing. Same was true for the Godzilla kotm and gvk prequel comics. Aftershock (kotm prequel) explains Godzillas new design, has him fight Muto Prime, and at least attempts to flesh out Emma Russel and Alan Jonah. I think the comics on their own could make good animated films. Dominon also gets to showcase more of the new Kaiju and how Godzilla interacts with them. The kotm novelization showcases what was happening during the titan awakening, how some staff thought Emma was crazy and tried to stop the release of the titans because well....they would all die if thr titans were released. Gvk novelization shows Godzilla saving a titan caught by some fisherman that thought they could make big money off of them. There's just so much stuff. Old scripts or concepts for gvk explain all the titans being absent because of another orca device luring them to Hollow Earth. There was an assassin planned to attempt to kill Walter Simmons and Bernie would have fought the guy in a bar. Mark Russell would have worked together with Nathan Lind and Ilene Andrew's instead of sitting at screens acting out of character. There's just so much that they had that could have made for a better movie or at least entertaining human characters it's why I believe the monsterverse is a massive pile of wasted potential.

kong was destined to lose from the start, even in the original cut of the film adam wanted to have godzilla straight up kill kong in the final battle, he even said that he likes to see kong get beat up and that godzilla was toying with him, etc. like atp kong was fighting godzilla and the director 😭

Kong doesn't need a power glove or lightning powers. He needs experience and training fighting with his ax and using his hands. His hands are the one advantage he has over Godzilla. Godzilla has been fighting titans for centuries, he just didn't become king of monsters over night

Only issue with this rewrite I have is that Kong wouldn't have been born when the war was happening since it happened like millions of years ago
