When you think about it this scene really shows how much of a smart fighter Kong is. He’s not just slamming it around for the hell of it. He’s disorienting it. That way when he lands the final blow the creature can’t really fight back

True Donald. Peter Jacksons Kong at around 30 feet is still the king of his domain ( handles 3 V-Rex) but would be probably squashed by Godzilla. Was still great movie however in my humble opinion. Monsterverse version Kong( now fully grown) able to go several rounds with the big fella( Godzilla) before their epic team up.

I love how Kong goes touch with the rocks, he’s probably thinking “woah, I’m flying, this is fun”.

The hollow earth scene left me with my mouth open, i was just in awe what a truly beautiful scene it was. I'm a Godzilla fan but damn Kong is a close 2nd to me.

Godzilla vs Kong is a magnificent film. Proves you don't need a 2 and a half hour to 3 hour runtime to tell a great story. Amazes me that all of this was fit into a short 1 hour and 45 minutes yet nothing seemed underdone. What a great movie this was

There is a lot of character emotions, it's just that it's given to the monsters the most since they're not the typical mindless beasts you see in most Hollywood movies, these are characters with unique personalities.

I'm sick of Godzilla and Kong needing humans' help. It makes them look weak. Get the humans out of the fights and let the kings be kings.

@@tommyvercetti7326 Dude, first off, Kong getting help in the first fight made sense since underwater was Godzilla's preferred terrain, along with the fact that he had a good grip on Kong in the moment. Secondly Kong actually did well against Godzilla going on land, but after Goji's pride and ego was damaged, he went full on sicko mode and nearly killed Kong, letting him slowly die due to actually telling Godzilla to kill him which impressed Godzilla, (Actually stated the case by the director), therefore reviving him also made sense.

I just realized that the Warbat/Nozuki was using its wing spines as makeshift fingers, it was using them to get up from the ground quicker after it got knocked down by it's deceased mate.

That's gross but I bet it tastes like Gatorade!

I went to that movie for the monster rematch but I love the Hollow Earth angle they used as well. It's such a fascinating concept and they really gave us some sights to behold here. I'm so glad they didn't just rely on monster fights but gave us an impossible wonder as well.

Godzilla needed the humans help when he was dying from the chemical bomb when he fought with Ghidorah, Godzilla needed help 1v1 with Ghidorah and he ABSOLUTELY got destroyed bit the humans came to help again so he could transform into Atomic godzilla, he also needed help in the arctic vs Ghidorah, he was loosing bit the humans again helped him, Godzilla also needed Mothra's help cause he was getting destroyed by Ghidorah and Rodan. I like this movie, except for the subplot with those people who sneaked in to the Apex facility. They serve almost no purpose to the main plot, and the characters are not appealing either. The girl in particular is unbearably stupid.

They almost ruin movies like this by dumbing them down, adding kids and making them PG13 instead of R. It's a shame. Movies like this need adult themes, tits and ass and no children slowing the pace. I think they'd make more money in the long run going back to old style of action movies. I really miss titties in action movies.

They made Kong look weak. They should have at least had Kong actually roaring breaking his way out of the warbat constriction to then having the people fire on the warbat. Yep , but Kong was only brought in to get embarrassed and shat on as nicely as possible. A rabid bearded Godzilla fanboy got lucky and got picked to make this crap , used it to jerk himself off with Godzilla and his atomic breath abilities, gave us a crappy plot , generic characters and couldn't even deliver a decent score for the garbage film. The VFX are the only thing enjoyable about the whole film. Today's filmmakers can't put their personal likes/politics/bullshat aside and be unbiased about anything anymore!! Crap movie PERIOD!

Regardless of who won the director would still be biased if he picked one kaiju over the other. The movie also had mostly decent and positive reviews and scores from critics which is a step up from kotm having mostly negative ones. If it's a movie where the director has to pick between 2 fan favorite characters obviously regardless of who wins the director WILL always be biased towards one of them. If Adam was unbiased then he would of made the fight end in a tie which wouldn't be good for either fanbases

The warbat reminds me of batacuda from Pirate101 game, but bigger.

I admit I really like Kong's "Hmmm..." when he starts messing with the gravity shift.

I really want to watch this movie, Kong and Godzilla king of the monsters are my favorite movies in the last years.

hollow earth's trees are so damn tall,, kong is about 300+ feet and the trees are about as tall as kong's shoulders

I thought most of this movie sucked but the center of the earth scenes were first class awesome.

Hollow Earth is huge. It's their habitat essentially, the cities on the other hand aren't so big.

Believe me, if Humans didnt interfered here. Kong would have been killed by warbat and Godzilla would have easily won against Mecha as he didnt fought against Kong in the first place!!

There's a level of savagery only a primate conveys which is what makes Kong so satisfying to watch over Godzilla at times

That's what I liked about this scene, it showed Kong being more of an ape which I think is where the Kaiju shines

This scene was cool but it contradicted Kong's strength. How is it that when Kong was a teenager he killed the king of the skull crawlers but struggled with a warbat? I understand that was a new enemy and he had no experience fighting with such creatures but still...

That's exactly it lol. He was used to fighting small skull crawlers he knew a grown one had a chance to kill him hence why he never let them grow. This warbat was an entirely new enemy that he knew absolutely nothing about. Now that he knows what they do you can expect him to be more careful next time
