looking closely, you can see that the axe is made from another godzilla’s back spike. i imagine the bone handle and the leather wrapping are also made from a godzilla as well. goji recognized his own and knew he could charge up the spike. the axe in general was also just a really cool nod towards goji and kong’s ancient rivalry

Kong may not be the strongest but he bows to no one ❤ and Godzilla is the king of the monsters for a reason.

kong earned goji’s respect in this fight and i think goji got the message that while he may be strong, he’s not the only alpha titan. kong is too, and he doesn’t even really want to fight goji, i think he actually respected godzilla. he just wanted goji to recognize that he’s not weak at all.

Lol. Considering how Godzilla literally bodied whole skyscrapers and bridges in the earlier 2 films it makes zero sense that he would have any problem against a mech unless it's built using some sort of magic unobtainium alloy or something.

My favorite battle of all the Monsterverse films. Epic!

I think if Serizawa had been piloting Mecha-G then G-man would have been able to take it down on his own, but it being possessed by Ghidorah's consciousness meant it was uber-personal and Ghidorah (Kevin specifically) was fully aware of the new body he was in.

Saw this in theatres solo! When beasts fight it's so unlike humans. The pure rage and ferocity was epic to see!

That year, I was vacationing with my girlfriend in Hong Kong when I had the opportunity to witness a trio of monsters fighting, thankfully I was on the beach near Victory Bay so I wasn't trampled by them! Thank god!

Even tho its fantasy, the fact that Mecha Godzilla even exists is just pure human arrogance. Lets pretend for a second humans could build something like this - ever; the entire planets power generation could have this thing running for MAAAAAAAAAAYBE 2-3 seconds. Absolute maximum. But sure, it not only is bigger, but also multifolds stronger than either of the titans, being able to hurl 150´000 tons like its a chihuahua. Its so funny because out of everything in this entire movie, Mechagodzilla is by far the most unrealistic. And yes, im aware theres a giant monkey and a atomic lizzard. Still, without question.

10 times better than the new Godzilla x Kong. Here you can see Mecha Godzilla can beat both apex titans fighting together, and they wouldn't win if it's not because external help. But in the new movie ( S P O I L E R S ), Scar King is the only villain and even Kong can beat him, Godzilla even more easily could. And the ice one is not a villain.
