its a shame no one can be creative enough to have an open world Godzilla game within the monsterverse, swimming in the ocean, either helping or destroying humanity etc. So much potential for a fun game if someone did it right.

Anguirus still has badass spikes and he can roll into a ball and he is highly intelligent. Also he can burrow underground, and he has a lot of durability! Also, originally he was going to have the same nuclear breath as Gojira when they put him in the 1950s movie but then Toho changed their mind...which I think was a good idea, to not allow him to have a nuclear breath. The nuclear breath is what makes Gojira/Godzilla unique...giving Anguirus that wouldn't be a good idea.

For those of you interested in the game itself, good luck trying to get it. After taking it away from the PS store, physical copies skyrocketed to at least $200 on average. It's a great game, don't let people tell you that it sucks just because it's not destroy all monsters, but if you're looking for a movie experience, you're going to just have to look elsewhere. That or just gett an emulated copy.

​@chickennuggets9792 I bought this game for $150 on Ebay in 2019. The game was discontinued in the US because it didn't sell as well as it did in Japan. Or maybe that was just part of the reason. Probably something to do with licensing too.

They really emulated the cinematography of the old Godzilla movies perfectly, my god.

Hedora is listed as the 8th most Bad Ass Kaiju, but to me..? that is VERY wrong - Between his adaptive shape shifting and the fact that he is LITERALLY a walking disease (He spits out toxic smog, and hurls parts of himself that corrode/infect/poison anything it touches) and that..? puts him in the top 3 in my book. The only two that are more deadly are Ghidorah, and the King himself - Godzilla.

@Drizzt Do'Urden Weaboo sounds like something a naive teen would say. Also to be clear, compared to the early 2000s/late 90s there is very little varieties of genres. When is the last time a stealth game was made? How about a platform other than Mario/Zelda/Nintendo? Nearly every new AAA tile is a 1st or 3rd person shooter. This is something completely different and fresh.

They went old school with the character designs. i loved watch old godzilla films and this very nostalgic!

As cool as the legendary ‘14 Godzilla is cool, the classic one he faces off against is still my favorite and the rawr is amazing sound design. 10/10

Gotta love a good low budget monster game! This one looks delightful.

I really wish this game was still available because I lowkey really love the game. Like imagine a game with them all, Monsterverse, Heisei, Showa, Shin, and Millennium, hell even 1998 Zilla in there. Probably would be licensing hell but would be nice to just have a game with them all duking it out / destroying cities would be a blast. Edit; forgot about Singular Point and the Anime Trilogy. Although personally I have yet to watch SP(nor is it done), and the Anime versions would probably be too hard to insert due to the sheer size of them(like Godzilla Earth being 300m or Void Ghidorah being apparently like... Kilometers long?)

Instead of always going for his 90s reptilian european dragon look I wish they'd bring him back to his oriental lion's maned, antler-topped, and somewhat simian-faced appearance from the 60s.

Well I guess I can help clear some things up. I actually managed to get the game when it came out (still have it). For everyone wondering why they kept the same designs, remember this game came out in 2014. They have godzilla 2014 and thats the most recent. It was taken off of sale in 2015. The game is great with the campaign and battle mode.

Imagine this game having a 2021 remake ! Also Kong would be happy then !

@@midlandtxm yeah apparently it became a rare game due to being a financial flop. It was removed from shelves and the PSN store. I enjoyed it for what it was but then again im a huge godzilla fan so im seeing through red glasses.

Picked it up for $70 not to long ago at GameStop. Had to drive 3 hours to get it.

All the other kaiju get impressive entrances, but Larva Battra, Hedorah, and, most glaringly, the Godzillas just walk onto the set. No fanfare, no special effects or cutscene, they just show up. Feels like they missed a lot of opportunities

The idea of looking at a Godzilla and being “oh I think that’s a second Godzilla” is really funny

imagine how crazy it would be if shin goji was in this game

Godzilla 2000 is better then all others Zilla and that New big fat Godzilla that everyone is stuck on.

I still have live for this game. It wasn't the bet yes but there's a kind of love put into it. It at times felt like the movies

Not all old godzilla destroy city, Most of showa are human friends except 1954-1955, 1964 and 1962. All Heisei neutral but sometimes hostile, And all of millenium gojira are hostile, And final war gojira is hostile but after he met his son, he is neutral. And legendary gojira is friendly or dont care anything about human. And shin godzilla is a depressed creature with mind that want to die but the body refuse it. And godzilla earth is earth ruler, he destroy humanity because if there are too many humans, earth will destroyed.

Seeing the old trailer where 2014 showed up makes so much more sense canonically now with it being completely reasonable that it would for sure show up if a whole nother Godzilla popped up but like not exactly the same kind so it would go into territorial mode and come for the smoke.

Japanese Godzilla Vs American Godzilla at end was awesome

The cutscenes and graphics I feel are pretty lackluster for something on the PS5.

Godzilla save he earth was a favourite game of mine back when I was younger used to play it all the time on my ps2 anyway I'm on xbox and hope if any games featuring giant monsters come out they will be on all platforms.
