Godzilla Minus One Review

Фильм және анимация

The fellas sit down and share their glowing praise for #Toho’s surprise hit #GodzillaMinusOne, which has taken the domestic box office by storm thanks to positive word of mouth, both critical and audience acclaim, and the recent decision to extend its theatrical release another week and expand to 2500 theaters nationwide.
With WB/Legendary producing their MonsterVerse movies with budgets exceeding $200m, Toho has managed to deliver not only the most frightening version of #Goji but also a compelling story full of great characters. All of this accomplished with a budget of only $15m 🤯

In addition a tip on top of your thoughtful content, The reason why Godzilla's behavior is unnatural. (In the first place, Godzilla's existence exceeds the rules of physics and biology. That's why people are afraid of Godzilla.) Godzilla is TATARIGAMI as mention Takashi Yamazaki in a interview, TATARIGAMI is a spirit (high-dimensional being) that continued to be feared even after it died a violent death as a human. There is also a theory that he is the incarnation of a heroic spirit who died during WW2. (TATARIGAMI is also depicted in Ghibli's Princess Mononoke. The black stain is common in both films.) Although TATARIGAMI is a wild spirit and is feared and shunned, if it is carefully enshrined, it can become a powerful guardian deity. They are the gods that are worshiped. How would you describe the existence between God and living things as follows? The director and CG artists spent more than six months developing Godzilla's walking style.

The jaws-like boat chase was intense as hell. The model or whatever they used for Godzilla in that scene was so... menacing! His eyes somehow stood out and the size of him chasing the boat.. Man... memorable scene!

Coming from someone who has only recently watched the Legendary movies, this movie solidified my love for kaiju films. Even though KOTM is probably still my favorite, I really enjoyed the storyline/human elements, the visuals with Godzilla (THE SPIKES 😍), and the score. I definitely plan on rewatching this! Great review guys!

8:55 of course he was feeling the pressure of Shin Gojira's success but its not that he was declining the offer from Toho. Takashi Yamazaki loves the Showa era of Japan and if he's directing a Godzilla movie, its gotta be after WW2 but not only Toho but most of the movie companies in Japan are scared of making movies based on that time but after some time Toho finally chose to get on with it and took three years with Yamazaki to complete the script.

Toho has done a total of 37 Godzilla films(this one included). The 1998 American Godzilla doesn't count. That lizard was bought by Toho and killed by the OG Godzilla in Final Wars. The 98 film was a joke. This new Minus One is totally amazing. Watched it two times more to see any details I missed. If you stayed and watched the end of the credits. You get an Easter egg of the stomps leading to the roar of the Godzilla 1954 film. The first film. 😁😁😁😁🤯🤯

Godzilla Minus One is the unofficial sequel to Oppenheimer. It's interesting to me that not a lot of people realize that. Oppenheimer is a movie about the atom bomb test. Minus One takes place directly after the bomb was dropped on Japan. Does that mean that Oppenheimer 'fathered' TWO atomic weapons. One mechanical and one of flesh?

If you wait and progressed through the end credits, you get a wonderful Easter egg. You can hear the classic stomps and classic roar from the very first, 1954 film. It's the perfect prequel to the first Godzilla film.

The human element in this movie was something to behold. Now drop cutest, sympathetic cilhild, that can can cry on cue? AND THEN kill her mom? I'm 51, and while this is not my favorite movie, I think thnk this is the best movie I have ever seen.
