GODZILLA - KING OF MUSTANGS | FINAL PART
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Welcome to Hartwick Performance!
I want to say thank you to everyone following this build! I had no idea there would be so much interest. It has really kicked off the channel and I owe it to you guys for sticking around and being patient throughout this project. It was a huge risk for us to take, but was worth it!
This is the final part for the build, but not the end for the Godzilla. Can you guess what's coming?! Make sure you comment below what you think!!! AND stay tuned for more! We have lots of plans for this mustang.

Info on the harness and tune:
On the harness I had to swap the coil plug connectors, moved the exhaust bank 1 cam position sensor to the Godzilla's front cam position sensor, and extended the knock sensors. By doing this I was able to use the factory 2011 Mustang ECU and harness.
Huge thank you to Rob Shoemaker and Mike Veisz at Palm Beach Dyno! Getting this thing started was all thanks to them. They connected with me after seeing the other videos and helped me get this thing going. I got a tune from them and they told me what I needed to do with the harness. Couldn't have done it without you guys!
Another big thanks to my friend Deric Schmelzer at Assassin'z Custom Cars! He helped make the oil cooler, the manifold flanges for the headers to weld onto, and other parts as well. Couldn't have done it without you man!

As someone who literally just discovered your channel yesterday, the fact pt 4 dropped the day after is a treat! Incredible how you fab everything at house. You have a grown mans candyland type of garage. Keep on doin great work bud!

@@hartwickperformance I still think GM LS7 is far superior to this Godzilla engine and the GM LT1 is smaller, more easy to swap, lighter and better OHV than Fords OHVs. What Ford should ve done is make a 6.2l DOHC 32v V8 with Di and PFi. 550-560 hp, 460-470ft pounds torque. That wus ve been amazing.. this 7.3 is neither efficient nor as powerful.. Its just a giant v8
@BC08
3 жыл бұрын
@@1989rs500 The LS7 isn’t better. Smaller cam core (50 mm VS 60mm for Godzilla), smaller diameter lifters (lifters have always been an LS weakness), LS7 doesn’t have canted valves while Godzilla does. Oh yeah, and the LS7 can’t keep valves either.
@BC08
3 жыл бұрын
@@1989rs500 And while I agree I would much rather Ford evolved the 6.2 Boss (which the Godzilla is loosely based on, they share bore spacing and journal diameters) into a PFI/GDI DOHC 4V aluminum block variant of 6.8-7.3 liters that would have easily dominated the naturally aspirated world it wouldn’t make much sense to build a ~700 HP high revving N/A V8 for the Super Duty which is what the Godzilla is for. Maybe the rumored 6.8 for is a variation on the Boss instead of Godzilla, it’s feasible since they share bore spacing they can likely go down the same line for machining.
@1989rs500
3 жыл бұрын
@@BC08 But reliability made 505 hp and 500 ft pounds torque and was powerful enough to even win 24 hr Le Mans. Also even today this LS7 lives strong in Corvettes beating and hanging on with Manual 5.0s
That's got a different tune to it over the 4.6 mod motor or the 5.0 coyote. Very nice!
It gives us older V8 guys a breath of fresh air when young kids are out there still keeping the legends alive. Very impressive that this kid does all this himself (as well as the wife). Keep it up. I think this Godzilla is going to be around a while, what do you think?
I want to do the EXACT same thing to my 2014 V6! Using your videos like a template, you’re doing something seriously great for the community out here

This is the ULTIMATE DRIVEWAY BUILD if I've ever seen one.....and I haven't! I'm doing a Coyote swap into my 2003 Ford Ranger and this has given me the motivation to KZread it's engine swap and competitions sound quality build. I'm not bragging in any way but just to be competitive you have to buy certain speakers....my 4 front speakers total $2000 alone. So it's intense and I hope others will like it. I was not going to film it until I saw these vids. Moving on.....(lol).... I believe your girl friend is your camera "person". If so.....OMG!....she is so good! She follows and goes right to where we need to see. These amazing camera angles plus your very informative descriptions and explanations make me want to keep coming back for more! You better believe I'm sharing this outta of this build in my car audio Facebook group.... "Simply Sound Quality.....SQ for Dummies!" I'm one of the founders and I know there are so many car guys and gals on there that would receive the same contagious motivation to finish so many projects. It's kinda like this... "Hell if he/they (GF credit lol) can do THIS, in his driveway, with minimal help and tools, and FILMING IT FOR US, then I can finish that sub enclosure or the doorpanels (aka various car audio projects)!!!" I'm sorry this is SO long! I just felt I needed to let you know you're an asset to the DIY community in so many ways and so many platforms. I hope you are able to read this and truly feel the motivation coming from me....after 4 spinal surgeries in 4 years....3 fusions and 12 screws....4 broke last year and were replaced last August and I'm still healing. So I need to watch amazing things like this video. Thank you!
