To summarize the Subtitles: The Rieklings got the means to produce sick beats by visiting the Shivering Isles. They also misinterpreted a Daemonic Invocation into what we know as "The Griddy". The second part, probably the violins, was probably also Sampled from the Dawnguard's response to "Blood Gang". Edit: After reading the Sermons of Vivec and The Pilgrim's Path, i now know the Greedy Man is the (possibly Daedric) lord of the Dreugh. He was defeated by Vivec, and the Rieklings may be inadvertently tried to summon him, inventing the Griddy instead.

From what I understand of the wilder side of TES lore: Some bored wizards (probably mostly Telvanni?) are communicating through the Dreamsleeve. Basically the "real" afterlife souls return to. They're pretty sure that these Reiklings got some bastardized version of... *something* mixed up in Lorkhan's previous-Kalpa self (Greedy Man). Almost as if it's a bit of "how to become God" knowledge that Lorkhan tried to leave behind. Or maybe he tried to communicate with them, if they got it after screwing with tonal architecture?

@@colbyboucher6391 Except Lorkhan failed (and I believe was always doomed to fail) to become Amaranthine, so I don't think it was knowledge that Lorkhan left behind. It seems more likely to me that the Rieklings themselves unintentionally developed a keystone of the Psijic Endeavor as a byproduct of their nascent intelligence, because of the stories they'd heard of him. Perhaps they're even able to comprehend the outer edges of the Godhead itself (ie. "Godspeak")

I can't believe you released a trailer/teaser for the dawnguard dis track in the format of a Reikling chief accidentally learning to step through time, person, and space by dancing. All while johning about the diss track being delayed, because you got side-tracked with this sick-ass loop, through in-character, in-universe dialogue which basically claims the reikling chief was messing with time (shout-outs to previous albums) and had distorted/intercepted/inadvertently specifically sent through/caused a ripple of the teaser that the two talking were able to measure and "translate". I love it so much

The lyrical crafting in this masterpiece is insane. Not only does it all flow so seamlessly with the rhythm but there's definite themes of anti-colonialism, Riekling national sovereignty, and some interesting comments on how the conflict between mer and man is impacting the natural ecosystem of Solstheim. All the while, we're led on a journey through what seems to be a deeply troubling and emotionally complex time in the author's life - and all of this, while being presented in a clever pastiche of the typical self-aggrandizement of the genre. This is deep poetry given life through music, and it's going to take several listens to unravel all of its intricacies.
