Godsmack live is one of the best! Love the song. 🤘🎤🥁🎸

Godsmack first album was the best. Heard “Whatever” on a radio station at midnight and had to call in to hear what the name of the song was. Went out next day and bought the album. Heavy, aggressive and addictive album. Been listening to Godsmack since the beginning and have been to atleast 4 shows. If you haven’t heard the first album go check it out.

Saw them a couple of years ago here in Sweden. A small venue for 700 people (Kulturbolaget). Great to see a stadium band up close. Love all their albums. Awesome band!

Saw them last weekend in Baton Rouge,La. They were fantastic

You're pretty spot on with your descriptions of this band. Their old stuff is a lot heavier and is definitely within that low to mid-tempo range, Though everything that followed those first three (debatably four) albums has leaned into a more up-tempo hard rock sound, Their last album "When Legends Rise" was the most mainstream sounding their music ever got, I'd say this recent song feels similar to the tracks on that one, But not quite as polished. I've always liked their music, Those first three albums (Self-Titled, Awake, and Faceless) are some of my favorites from the nu-metal era. Their later stuff is good too even if it isn't as heavy as those first three. My favorite song by them overall would be Awake (You've more than likely heard this one, It's the "I'm alive, For you I'm awake, Swallowing you" song that was in US Navy commercials)

I loved this band as a kid. I listened to "Straight Out of Line" probably a thousand times. I thought the pick slides in that song were the heaviest shit ever. Godsmack is nowhere near as heavy as a lot of the things I listen to now, but I can still appreciate them and get plenty of nostalgia from hearing their songs again. Bands like Godsmack get a lot of hate, but many people wouldn't have gotten into heavy music at all if it weren't for them, Slipknot, Disturbed, Korn, Mudvayne etc.

One of my favorites is 1000hp the title track from the 1000hp album its such a blood pumping song

It would be great if they had an endorsement deal with Samuel Adams Lager: "It's Godsmack from BAHHHHH-ston!!" Den and I were pretty big into them early on and while we still consider ourselves fans, we lost track sometime in the mid-2000's. We saw them live once, I believe it was the tour for the Faceless album, and I will say it was an outstanding show. This song was decent for me, very listenable and on-brand for their sound....worthy of the first horns of the day! 🤘

Speaking of Drowning Pool they just released a new album back in September. This was a decent song. Don't know much of Godsmack. Other than their popular songs.
