in my opinion, this diffuser built into the tl60 is clean so as not to suppress the already low generated light power. low power is the biggest disadvantage of these toys and they are suitable for colored contour in the twilight, not as a source of guiding light.....by the way, a beautiful review in the style of a TV show. just great

Great review! The dealbreaker for me though was the missing mounting threads. And I wish it diffused a little softer like compared to the product review vids of the nanlites but they’re much more expensive. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much for this review, Kyle! I am debating between buying the 2-light or 4-light kit for the TL60. We already have full studio lighting (4x Godox VL300, 2x Aputure 120dii), but would likely use these for adding color to product shoots, background practicals, or fill lights on run and gun shoots. Knowing that, would you recommend getting the 4-light kit still, or going with the 2-light kit and waiting to get two of the 4' versions of the Godox that come out in the future?

yeah maybe get 2 and wait for the future integrations to get 4

I have some of Nanlite lights and thinking about buying one of these tube light, I think Godox has advantages in terms of CRI highest scores and great software and remote control, but I saw In some videos that Nanlite pavotube has better individual lights diffusion. Didn’t you compare them?

They are very similar, I think the Nanlite Pavotube may be a bit better when it comes to output and difussion but these have a nice size where I feel they are more versatile and the remote control is great

The main downside is that the diffuser is not as nice as Nanlite and you can clearly see individual LED...so it’s good for off screen but not as good on screen?

All dependent upon what output they are at and what settings your camera is at on top of how open or closed your aperture is.

What are the alternatives lights? I’m a run and gun solo film maker. What would you say to buy for on the go small adaptable setup?

there are clear grips that come in the kit that allow you to attach them to c-stands.

I agree, however it’s almost never noticeable unless you have the lights in frame and super dim so I wouldn’t let that stop you from getting snd using these lights!

I would have loved to see some actual finished footage... not just behind the scenes. Other than that, great vid.

Mannnn I thought when it read “test footage” you’d literally have the actual footage in the video lol. I wanted to see the end result, didn’t know it’d be BTS. Do another video man, we’ll all watch again lol. You can just narrate the shots, show bts then how it looked in the end. Mute the audio if it’s not already out yet.

come on dude not many have a money tree in the back yard bro theres many ways to do all the fxs you see here many are just starting up .......thats the thing with film makers today vs vet film makers ......i think maybe i need to bring many back where they show you the tricks they use to do and newer ways to do all this , you know better then this someone just starting out and if they buy all the stuff you have on your list ......bro NO !!! you can do alot with just tube lights and even in post lighting we ruled youtube and i think that i just may give friends a heads up to come back and show how to do everything and in new ways to help others with out breaking the bank , theres no ways someone just getting into film making has bank .......you here to help shame bro shame LOL its about helping others not about you need this and this of what i have ...........NO lets get real many fall for i need to have what he has ............think about helping others just getting into the game bro you dont have to have all pro gear to pull off all this ...ta bro
