I cannot believe this joke that Godfrey was making went over the breakfast club head so easily and then he did not even explain it that well. I immediately got the punch line of the joke about if sex changed people as far as race relations, not confusing at all.

I've always loved Godfrey's comedy. It's great to see how intelligent and cultured he is.

I'm a 55 year old African American man, I've watched 100's of comedians from Cosby, Dick Gregory, Prior, and Dave Chappelle. The common denominator is most of the greats eventually become black activist, Godfrey is definitely headed down the same path. To some it may come off as racism, but this is the voice of black pain.

Idk about that. Can you tell me a famous mainstream black comedian that never had khoonish material or self deprecated/ridiculed black people? Chapelle, Rock, Murphy, Williams all considered "greats" by some people, all made their careers on how stupid/ghetto/superstitious/loud/etc black people are. Mooney, Gregory, Wallace etc for sure made jokes about us but they also were staunch defenders of black people whereas the mainstream darlings don't, they're not activists.

Saw Godfrey at the ATL COMEDY CLUB, 2 nights in a row!! My abds hurt for a week!!! I love this guy!!! When I look at him I fall out bc every joke is hilarious and his facial expressions are PRICELESS!!!

Godfrey has been one of my favorite comedians for years. I’ve scoured KZread to watch all of his old stand up shows back when he was doing 10 minute sets at Caroline’s and a bunch of underground clubs. Godfrey is a goat. I seen him kill a whole weekend with completely different original material. At one point the audience tried to turn on him and he still kept them on his side. This brother is a legend.

I’ve always been a Godfrey fan,the man is soooooo underrated and talented AF, great to see him on this huge platform. He’s the comedian’s comedian 🙌🏽

This was a great interview! I have a newfound respect for him - absolutely loved his commentary!

At the beginning of the pandemic, I bought a ticket to see an online comedy show with Godfrey. It was a hot mess with his opening acts and technical glitches. Then I received a message that I was invited to the Green Room afterward. And Godrey zoomed with his guests and it was error-free and hilarious.

Godfrey is one of the smartest and funniest comics who is overlooked. I learn something new every time this brother speaks and he's always hilarious.

I love documentaries like Godfrey and truth be told that's how I've learned about many things since I was in my teens.

This is probably the most Charlemagne and Angela have laughed from a guest on the show!!!🤣
