I'm glad to be playing a campaign again, too. It makes a nice change :) As for my Chinese pronunciation, I try but I'm sure it's far from perfect! :P

These cinematic shots you blend in... GREAT!

My expertise beggins and ends with dynasty warriors 6 and I'm pretty sure meng huo should be running around wacking people with a rock pillar. Sometimes a tree and sometimes a giant mushroom. If he's not then they missed out on his key features because obviously those are historical facts in no way made up.

"Tiger Slingers" sounds like someone that should be launching tigers from a sling.

Never noticed that about warhammer and the trees with sky, gonna check that out when I get home.

The lack of satisfaction change when you change someone's post is because they're too low-level and they don't care about the position... like they had no ambition. Once they're higher level they'll be happier for a new post... UNLESS they're too high leveled, then they basically think the post in beneath them. It's significantly more involved keeping your staff happy. I enjoy it because it makes me think and be strategic even in my court. If they're all happy, you get some yummy buffs.

Ended up picking up the base game on sale, and then after getting absolutely wowed by the base game (seriously, I _never_ thought I'd enjoy it as much as I do) I picked up almost all of the DLC for it. Just started playing Lady Zhurong, excited to see the differences between what I play and what you experience.

Awesome to see you using a faction i was really interested in... again. Glad to see you in 3k again too :D. In regards to the tribes thing, dont you also get the benefits if you are allied with the tribe? or does it strictly have to be confederation/destruction

You still get them if they're Vassals, though I don't know for certain if alliances do, but I imagine the game wouldn't punish you for an alliance by withholding those bonuses from you :P

Whenever I am defensive and the opposing army has fewer forces; I tend to try and make my army formation a bit of a crescent to surround the enemy. Plus the archers tend to do more damage shooting from the sides, then I have them run to the back (or damned-close) to they are just shooting into the backs of the enemies and any of MY shield units block any stray shots more. It's brutal most of the time. Of course, once dealing with cav going against the Han, it often is very complicated to keep them safe. That is... until your archers get the charge negate or even reflect... at that point, it's merciless slaughter... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm really enjoying this video though, excited to start #2!

I love 3k so much and I really love how you genuinely enjoy the game. I know it gets a lot of hate but it hits the soft cultural spot for me.

always try to demand surrender, you never know. I was fighting Meng Huo and he had two full armies outside a city, in range to re-enforce. I attacked the settlement, the balance of power said "decisive defeat", but I clicked demand surrender and they gave the settlement to me without a battle, and they moved their two armies back toward their land.

I wonder how much of the AI characters paths will change when you're playing and one of the Nanman tribes.

Those guys with torches would burn the forest down.

Yes, because tropical jungles are notorious for being incredibly dry and flammable :)
