I have broken my knee, and have had a hard time at school from bullying. But to be able to come home from school to hear a talk from Elder Uchtdorf while I do my homework, brightens my day every day!

Taylor. Just seeing this now..11 months later. Hope your knee has healed well : ) I must say I am soooo impressed by you. YOU CHOSE to do your homework, YOU CHOSE to listen to an Apostle while doing so. Bully for YOU!! In the 1500s and 1600s, the word BULLY meant an excellent , good, brave person. How ironic to what it is now days : ( But.! the TRUE meaning of the word Obviously applies to YOU. : )

I am from Thailand and live in Utah. I am the youngest of eight in zipping and I came from the very poor family so I am an only one as a members of the Church and after I finished my Mission I was working to support my family as my family yes I did have time to attended the church so when I came here I was running a best Thai restaurant in Utah in the past decade and I didn’t have time to rest because of the restaurant was very busy and took most of my time energy and almost took my life so I was away from the church during that time but my happiness was I am support my families back in Thailand to have a better life and education for nieces and nephews until they finished and most of my family members are having a better life than before I can say that I am so happy to sacrifice my life for my family because I love ❤️ them all so I didn’t have time to renewing my covenant with the lord 🙏 until four years ago things had happened over night that my wife had an emergency surgery and it was completely during the surgery so turned into her brain damage so I quit working and focusing on her till to day🙏 when I am listening to this talk about the lord loves and care and understanding about the situation in each one of his children and trying to help them draw closer to him it’s true that my life is changing since my wife is the long term care so I now draws to god and learning that how important is to close to him and walks into the right path to know that the importance in this life is to draw closer to him and keep his commandments and preparing to meet with him it’s more important than keep finding the treasure and far a way from god🙏 I give Thanks to my savior and my Heavenly Father every for his love ❤️ and kindness for me and my wife and helping me walking in the right path again before it to late🙏

My husband likes to talk religion at work, but a lot of other Christians were not willing to talk to a "mormom" before this pandemic. Now they talk and find commonalities between our faiths. Its definitely eye opening for them.

The mere fact that our Prophet had started up the Church at home program a year or so prior to the pandemic opened eyes for family members and friends. Sometimes, it take a bolder nudge. Your husband will be blessed for his willingness to share God's love.

It has been difficult to deal with, there was not enough time to mourn one person before someone else died. This talk and all of conference has brought me comfort and peace. Thank you Elder Uchtdorf for your loving and comforting words.

I believe that most are suffering greatly (spiritually & physically).....but also know that Gethsemane was a necessary part of the atonement. Stay awake. Ezekiel 21:4. The Righteous Sometimes Suffer with the Wicked When righteous people live among the wicked, they sometimes experience tribulations resulting from the unrighteousness of their neighbors. Sometimes the “innocent are compelled to suffer for the iniquities of the guilty” (Smith, Teachings, p. 34). In speaking of the judgments of the last days, Joseph Smith said: “It is a false idea that the Saints will escape all the judgments, whilst the wicked suffer; for all flesh is subject to suffer, and ‘the righteous shall hardly escape;’ still many of the Saints will escape, for the just shall live by faith; yet many of the righteous shall fall a prey to disease, to pestilence, etc., by reason of the weakness of the flesh, and yet be saved in the Kingdom of God. So that it is an unhallowed principle to say that such and such have transgressed because they have been preyed upon by disease or death, for all flesh is subject to death; and the Savior has said, ‘Judge not, lest ye be judged.’” (History of the Church, 4:11.) Clarke gave the following commentary on Ezekiel 21:4that is helpful in understanding why the righteous, along with the wicked, sometimes find their lot in life full of distress: “And when all the provisions were consumed, so that there was no more bread in the city, during the siege by Nebuchadnezzar, the righteous must have suffered as well as the wicked; for they could not be preserved alive, but by miracle, when there was no bread; nor was their perishing for want any loss to them, because the Lord would take them straight to his glory. And however men in general are unwilling to die, yet there is no instance, nor can there be, of any man’s complaint that he got to heaven too soon. Again, if God had permitted none to be carried off captive but the wicked, the case of these would be utterly hopeless, as there would be none to set a good example, to preach repentance, to reprove sin, or to show God’s willingness to forgive sinners. But God, in his mercy, permitted many of the righteous to be carried off also, that the wicked might not be totally abandoned, or put beyond the reach of being saved. Hence, both Ezekiel and Daniel, and indeed several others, prophets and righteous men, were thus cut off from the land, and carried into captivity. And how much was God’s glory and the good of men promoted by this! What a seed of salvation was sown, even in the heathen countries, by thus cutting off the righteous with the wicked! To this we owe, under God, many of the Psalms, the whole of the Book of Ezekiel, all the prophecies of Daniel, the bright example of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, the decrees passed in favour of the religion of the true God by Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus, Darius, &c.” (Commentary, 4:479-80.)

I did not think this country with Falls so quickly just like the jaredites and the Nephites because of sinful act and secret combinations. I got to witness this first-hand in our country. It seems like long time ago the news media play it this country ended different pieces. Also when the Lord came after his crucifixion America's to Start is Gospel in this land. The one thing that came to my mind yesterday was, no matter how this pandemic started and why, great things have come from it. I imagine the adversary bringing such things about, in order to slow God's Plan, BUT, it didn't only NOT slow God's Plan, it furthered the work of The Lord. How, the Church through social media is growing faster and faster because many , esp our beloved Missionaries, whom we dearly love, have found that through their efforts using it, they can reach thousands of people at a time. Many Missionaries are teaching more now then they ever have. We've had Baptisms in our area since the Pand. I LOVE how our Lord can take a negative and make it into a positive. That is the sentence that went through my mind yesterday.

But the work in temples isn't important. It's useless. It's dead. It's an addition to the simple gospel of Christ as mentioned in the Bible. Man-made temples are not a part of the church Christ built because HE completed the work for us on the cross.

Hosanas! Hosanas!

Love one another. Walk in peace. Teach about Jesus. I am a witness that God is using adversity to bring about purpose. Amen. Also, that we prioritize people and especially our wise and good elders that are dedicated to Him in action and word like the First Commandment. Be watchful of actions. Amen

How comforting and expiring. I watched this on conference but tonight this spoke to me of comfort and be of good cheer. With all the damaging political upheaval from the socialistic propaganda and speech censoring this was great to hear.

Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon Jesus will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5. No more wickedness on earth, Psalms 37:29. Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28,29.
