I misquoted the Bible at one point here when I said the Word also says: “husbands submit to your wives”, the verse I was thinking of was Ephesians 5:21, which states:

I'm 41 male. Recently decided to stop using dating apps. During my sleep a mental voice told me to focus on God. That he will introduce me to my future woman. I was investing too much energy on apps. God kind of said, focus on your tasks. Made me realize I'm not even ready for that woman I so much desire, and God knows that. Focus on your purpose everyone, and when you least expect it, he or she will walk into your life.

This came at a good time for me. I am still struggling with porn and one thing I have noticed about sin is that it separates us from God because it makes us think about the sin and then we feel guilty and ashamed etc when we should really be focusing on God. It's a matter of attention but you can't have your attention on God if your feeling dirty because you just feel so unclean to be near him, but guess what? We've all fallen short of God's glory and none of us are like him, his ways are higher and his thoughts are higher, so just come back to him after each mistake like a child goes to their parent when they've hurt themself.

I have hint for some people- You’ll find your your significant other in church serving God whole-heartedly and devotedly when, like yourself, they’ve made Jesus their significant other and have given over to God all desire and longing to have a significant other other than Jesus.

As a man in his 40s, I am one of the few men that God has called to a lifetime of singleness. I have never dated and I will never be interested in dating. I am so glad that I don't have to deal with the difficulties of dating and relationships, and I am beyond relieved that I never have to deal with the stress and drama that comes with involving a woman with my life. I will stay in full peace and serenity and never get close with women.

My advice is , if you meet a man, and if he is still struggling with porn, addictions, and is not yet structured to have discipline in Godliness. Just surrender that relationship, and move on. The time of delay will be extended in what God might want to do with you if you stay. When his perfect will is for you to go conquer the promised land. How do you submit or put into practice submission, if the leader can’t lead you to conquer? Pray for God to prepare you and provide for a righteous leader
