I am at that 44 yr mark finding myself in my house alone because my husband who proclaimed himself a christian (and never really was) just tried to strangle me. Our marriage was full of domestic abuse, violence and he was demonized with porn use. I feel so lost and upside down. It feels as if the entire family and even the church have turned against me. I lost my mother last fall and she was my strong supporter. My siblings are distances away so there is no daily contact. Children grown and want nothing to do with this situation. My husbands coldness toward the Lord and daily deception and disrespect of me caused my deep, grounding faith to waiver and this message and your reply hit like a brick. I have no friends to speak of. My life feels like a sort of death....yet I know God is good and He has a plan for me. Wish I knew what it was.

I married a man I knew God was saying no to, but I didn't believe I'd ever find anyone else, and my family wasn't helping that mentality. Things were fine for a few years until our son was diagnosed with a severe disability, then he became incredibly abusive. We ended up divorcing, he remarried and divorced her too. Having to speak with him still gives me the anxiety I used to get when he would be so cruel in the past. I know I blew it on that one, and now am just praying asking for God to help me be content in being alone. I wish it wasn't so hard a want to let go of, but I know I don't have a choice if I want to adhere to God's Will. The wait is worth it, and I wish so much that I had listened to God instead of the world.

Ditto to this. I also got into a marriage that I now realize was not His ideal will. The marriage was not healthy, let’s say. And now I must stay single. I agree, it’s good to wait! I’ve told people that it’s better to be single and have lonely feelings than be in a marriage and feel alone. Though we are never alone with Jesus.

Please listen to the Lord through Alwyn. I met my spouse when I wasn't walking with Jesus. Later we were saved, praise Jesus! But my husband is not that into Him and it's hard to have a red hot relationship with the Lord when the other is nonchalant. But like Alwyn says it's inevitable that the luke warm keeps the temp down, even when you desire to influence. We get along great in every other area, laugh together, have fun, etc., but please pray for my husband to fall in love with Jesus. And more of Jesus for me too!! I would love for us both to be as close as possible to Him. This is Especially to the ladies, because God wants the husband to lead spiritually in Christ. We had a flourishing music ministry yrs ago, but things got tough when people started getting competative, not to make Jesus known but to compete musically, worldly. Same situation for me and my husband. It was really tough when I got saved and on fire for God and he didn't understand and wasn't interested. But God taught me that the only way He can work on the situation is if I let it go completely and entrust it to Him completely. It took me a while to do that fully and it's still a daily process of letting go everyday and giving it to God fully everyday. It's so important to trust God with your situation. I am praying for you, sister. Psalm 37:3-5 Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.

I believe our Father is already working on your husband. I also believe it is time for you not to interfere with Father when He trains his son, and take him on his prodigal journey or Joseph s/o Jacob's journey. A wife can be a help meet (ezer in Hebrew) but do stay away from enabling him. I can testify that Father trains His sons differently from daughters. Their situations and circumstances will definitely involve breaking his rebellious spirit, and self-righteousness. God is doing a mighty work on marriage at this hour. My husband and I loved the Lord but both of us had quite a bit of childhood trauma, then more trauma piled on him as a police officer. That's such an excellent illustration with the temperature coming down. I have such a heart to see those marriages coming together, just as you described. The exponential effect for the Kingdom and for the time we are in is absolutely key!

Sometimes God calls us to be single. Even if we don’t agree. Been single in Gods path 23 years. I raised my kids alone who are now 26 and 24. I prayed long time and waited then surrendered to him saying no. Even if people don’t want to hear it I lived it and now I’ve accepted it.

God is a loving Father and will never put any burden on his children. I don’t agree that he calls people to be single “against their will and desires”. This is not the heart of a loving father. We have to understand that God designed marriage and his intention and purpose for marriage has never changed. Some people are raised by single parents who choose to stay single and focus on raising their kids and may have been in a bad relationship the past. We have to recognise that we live in a different world and need to rely on the Holy Spirit to bring God’s sons and daughters together. If marriage is your heart desire take it to God in prayer and believe he has someone special for you and live it in his hands and get on with your life. God never puts any burden on his children by forcing them to be single when their heart desire is to be married. God bless you

That is exactly why I’ve never married (yet) although I am in my 60’s and I would like to marry my kingdom spouse - it’s not looking like that will ever happen and I am ok with that. I’ve seen too many Christians married and in such strife and angst- I’d rather be lonely and alone to serve the Lord fully than to be in a wrong marriage that distracts me from serving God. I’ve not given up hope but I am not letting that hope stop me from serving my Lord. All in for Jesus!

I needed this. This is God...I'm gonna focus on doing the will of God than compromising to align with something that I don't believe in. I will not let anyone pour their cold water on me ever again. Thank Jesus for reminding this that you know what's best for me.

Thank you SO much for obeying and honoring God by posting this video. Today I was fasting for this EXACT question! I have been with my boyfriend for 5 1/2 years and like you said, we are compatible, we get along so well, similar hobbies, but God is not at the center. God has saved me and I have been so hungry for more of Jesus, but my boyfriend is not saved and it has been hard to continue my walk with Christ when I am also trying to be respectful of his beliefs (buddhist) and not overwhelm him. He has been so respectful of my salvation but I know when trials and tribulations come he doesn’t have the foundation and we are unequally yoked. I believe this word was for me in this season of my life. I am - and have been - agonizing over a current relationship. As painful as it will be to end it, I believe I must. Thank you for sharing what God shows you, Alwyn. This is what prophecy is supposed to do: produce hope and oftentimes clarity and edify, comfort, and exhort. Thank you for being obedient and sharing, because it is fulfilling that purpose!

Hi Bridget, I usually don’t comment; but your comment jumped out at me. My daughter stepped away from a relationship (she’s 28) that was SO difficult to walk away from. Her ex bf is a wonderful young man: successful, great communicator- you could check off all the “worldly” boxes. But she truly wanted someone who runs after God as their first love. They loved each other dearly. But she chose to walk away (also wanted to stay pure). God has literally moved her from glory to glory since. Hope this edifies you. ❤️ She lives in Los Angeles and works in the entertainment industry as a professional dancer. And even w that- God has opened doors for her to reach so many of her “artists” friends and guide them to a GENUINE love and deep walk w the Lord. After the break-up, she also had her first open vision (awake), and her dreams and visions have vastly increased, too.

Im in early 30s, and after 17 yr relationship God called as newborn to be pure, but my partner is lukewarm, we are best friends but he doesnt value me even himself, and doesnt want to be i celibacy, neither wants marriage , meaning godly marriage.I dont know what to do.

I can’t imagine… 17 years (I assume you began dating in HS, & that is such a young, impressionable age and our identities are still forming, moreless trying to KNOW our identity in Christ. ❤️ But sweet girl, I believe in your heart- you already know what to do. My daughter (Kiana) was also best friends w her bf. They had SO much in common…. EXCEPT the most important thing. Or should I say, the most important ONE! It def was not easy. But I believe, in your case, it will be worth it if you walk away (IF your bf does not choose to follow Christ). We always prayed for my daughters bf to accept Jesus as Savior. But she also knew she wanted someone to run hard after God… not just the “status quo Christian” (not meaning that as critical or judgmental)- but she did not want to be unequally yoked, and knew it would affect them long term. In your case you have been patient if it’s been 17 years. And ultimately- it comes down to a choice for your bf. That was Kiana’s little “push” from the HS. Realizing, her bf really does have a choice- free will, he knew her heart, but still chose the world. Seek God in this. He is not a God of confusion. 🥰 And I will pray now for your bf, too. 🙏❤️ Be blessed.

I felt the Lord drawing me to thinking about someone again after my narcissistic ex husband made me not ever want to be in a relationship again. Yes, not allowing Jesus to be the center is idolatry. They might be afraid the Lord will separate them if they are refusing to put Him at the center... but anything before the Lord is an idol. If we are truly believers, we will give all to Christ. And that means we accept His divine plan for us. We must say, "Lord, it's your way or no way, for me," and then believe with all our hearts that the Lord will do what He planned for our lives. Trust the Lord to be enough and let Him be... GOD... and He will give them back to you, some way or another, if He indeed has planned and promised it to you for your life.

I needed this confirmation. God made man and woman in His perfect plans for us....to love and to share. And He WILL put an end to my lonely and idle life by sending me my soulmate for His glory and honour. Amen.

Would appreciate being married again but hard to imagine after 45 years. Outside of Jesus would never work.

@@4000jes It could be the Lord said the decision is between God and the person. But it can be a bit confusing when Apostle Paul says if you can't withstand it. Marry. I believe if the Lord has called you to it, you should be able to withstand it. Not to say satan won't play mind games, he does. But just make sure you are not throwing it the towel.
