I completely hear you. This method of solving conflict doesn’t work with everyone, as not everyone is willing to receive rebuke… however, what I would recommend is putting boundaries (as much as is possible) with family members that gaslight or are abusive.

I totally agree and know how it is as I come from a dysfunctional family, and there's alot of sensitivity and stubbornness in my family life, even with my son and my daughter! All I can do is pray and love at a distance!

My marriage ended because i was confrontational and always called out malicious behavior. She also mocked me for reviving my relationship with Jesus too. This is pretty good confirmation. She would even say "Its how you say things" hinting that i should shut up and let her treat me herself and others however she wants

Amen!! Great message! "Only the wise receive rebuke." Years ago, I rebuked who I thought was a friend, but she was a jealous wolf the whole time, and only wanted to get close to take, copy, compete, and destroy. My spirit never felt right around her. At the time, I did not read proverbs thoroughly and ended up rebuking a scorner. Needless to say, after what i thought was a private and gentle conversation about her treatment towards me and others, I obtained a relentless adversary that harrassed, slandered, set up traps, and devised all manner of evil against me for 4 1/2 years!! She knew her true nature was exposed, and she..went...nuts!! I should have sought the Lord first. I should have sought the Lord. 😬

Yessss productive venting :)

Sandwich method is what we use for work when talking to parents about their child’s behavior. We start with something good, then what they did wrong, and ending with another good thing they did. That way the parents don’t think their child was bad all day.

This is so much easier said than done.

Hey Jackie, appreciate the content. This is my second video I’m watching. Regarding selling stuff at the temple, part of the reason for his righteous anger is they did so in the gentile courtyard thus entirely blocking those people from what already limited access they had to God. So it’s not quite a 1:1 for churches selling things (totally assuming the merch it gospel-centric books, bibles, studies, etc rather than something like worship leader X’s latest album).

Lord forgive me. In my circle in church, a lot of the new believers who are immature christians behave in really strange ways and are influenced by their flesh or the world in a lot of their choices. They either get caught up with charismatic influencers or think the Holy Spirit is speaking to them directly when really it's just their flesh speaking or their own will. I felt hurt, deceived, and betrayed by some of the closer people to me. I noticed for a while now, I will slander or mock them while simeoultaneaously giving the situation to God. But never do I confront them. Not once. I have been convicted much recently, and strenghthened with wisdom to maturely confront them next time I am prompted. It takes maturity because it's easy to get caught up in my own emotions and flesh, or caught up in their game. Some people want validation, not correction, but I am done with that. I don't want to flatter and hide. And neither do I want to be flattered. We should be sanctified by the Holy Spirit, all of us.

My husband gets so angry if you tell him something he has done to hurt me. It leaves me feeling worse. For example I had asked him if he wanted something from the gas station with the little money I had left. He was angry because he lied about the price (not sure why) of the item. I simply said I don't like when you lie to me. I didn't scream or yell. But his reaction was to choke me while I was driving. There is no reasoning with a man like this. He claims to be a Christian but exemplifies the attributes of the devil.

I agree Jackie that prayer before we confront someone about something is essential ✨ I do think there's a way to tell people things without tearing them down. Some people do need tough love tho. That hamburger method really got me tho haha 😄 Thanks for sharing this message. May God continue gives you strength during your pregnancy.

That's funny if they did so many horrible things to you that they can't keep up with them, so they need to know what you found out about or not. What's worse? Having a friend stab you in the back in every way for no reason? Or the complete systematic destruction of your entire life afterwards just because they're scared you will tell someone what they did to you? What kind of a person goes around doing heinous things to people then punishes them afterwards because they regret doing it. I don't think a preacher can help this man, he needs a exorcist.

i'm going through a situation at work. someone who used to be nice to me has been giving me attitude off and on for several weeks. i want to talk to this person about it, but i'm not wanting a confrontation. i just want us to get along like we used to.

Edimoligy the origin & root of the WORD which was in the beginning with God & is God & of course #1 the leading of the Holy Spirit which leads to ALL TRUTH.... Will ultimately Unveil beauty in contrast to the particular statement you articulated concerning homosexuality being a sin. Praise the Lord for this Era where knowledge has increased therefore your people are no longer destroyed due to lack thereof. First thing I want to tell you something that is in the right way funny because I was venting to God earlier and just saying it and I just felt him start changing me so you literally just described one of my moments I had with him. The second thing I wanna mention is the convictions the Lord sends me aren’t as heavy as they used to be. It’s more of that gentle kind of like tug like a father who’s guiding his child and if he hast to get his intention by bowling him a little bit or a little bit he’ll do it. And the third thing I wanna mention is thank you for doing the well that God has commanded you to do because he use you to help fill in the final bits of information that I needed on this final point and I think I can say with some certainty that this pothole is filled with concrete. There’s one thing absolutely I think everyone should pray for it’s be sensitive to the voice of God and ask to be sensitive to his voice just like what you said pray for what you need not what you want.

I have NO problem confronting these people if they will STOP hiding!

The neighbor called the cops on my music. The cops were being total jerks so I let them speak their hateful words like I was ruining everyone's life and then I said to them, I listened to you now you listen to me... Oh boy their faces they were ready for the fight , I started telling them how the world needs kindness its what we're missing and we need to be kind to each other that I didn't cause the end of the world over a Ray Charles song. That he was yelling at me over a song that wasn't very loud so a crackhead could sleep in nextdoor. That maybe he could understand that he's bringing down my vibe when I'm just having a good day and he should start spreading love and then I start telling him . . I have it all recorded too😂 he started arguing over love . I said you can't even be nice when talking about kindness. I said I love you and he said I love you in a condescending tone. Then we started yelling I love you at each other😂 he ran to his car and left , not before I told him to not come back without a warrant and he can keep his citation. Then the lady cop jumped in and she said I love you too and started being nice.

My relationships ended because i vented to the world because my partners didnt want to hear me out. I asked for guidance and complaints w kindness. And its odd i see this because driving today i heard God saying stop venting your ire to the world when u get hurt because even though you know you dont aim to hurt others they DO NOT know your heart how i do. And i said okay God so that means just give it all to you right? And i heard yes. And i deactivated my social media. Because people were saying that i was the ire and maladaption i was posting.
