The pomp and intensity of the performance, with the proud English people present at the royal wedding, is simply one of the finest musical clips I could imagine possible. It is clear that the English are proud of their monarchy, and Elizabeth II deserves this from her people. She has been selfless during her entire reign.

I want to go back to 8 years ago for my beloved 1940 and my Mummy’s wedding. 2013 was a great year. That’s when my beloved War didn’t get me upset

The incredible performance in the glorious acoustics of Westminster Abbey, with its stunning organ (and organist, I might add...), the London Symphony Orchestra, and the incredible fanfare at the opening by the state trumpets is completely stunning. When the organ pedal 32' bombarde enters mid-way through, to the end, it gave me spine-tingling chills. Not many musical performances do that to me, I assure you.

Michael Middleton was super into this. Give that man a peerage.

She is also the Queen of Canada. Long may she reign!

I might be Woody.EXE’s Queen and not required to sing it but I do anyway. I love how happy Mummy, Princess of Wales looks when she’s singing for me and Woody.EXE during our royal duties. Even my sister is Princess of Wales; he was going to give the title to Jessie but after the way she treated my 2009 Woody, he passed it down to my sister

No, the queen is the head of state. Basically representing the country and acting on things involving the state, monarchy and property. The prime minister is the one who does most of the military decisions, but the queen still holds the title and her decision is final no matter what. The UK is still in a monarchy, kind of. The royal family just doesn't actively use that power as often as they can.

@@jesusthroughmary I mean the fact that he gets some titles because he is the Prince consort. I know he served in the navy but frankly, that was 70 years ago. And all other royals, while some served, they all got promotions to some ranks that should sooner go to people who really fought in combat.

It's just an anthem, plenty of atheists and agnostics like myself sing it, anachronistic maybe, but a historical anthem nonetheless and one that expresses pride in the country and its great institution, the Monarchy.

The only possible flaw with this video is that Elizabeth II should have said "I am touched" at the end of it. However, at the royal wedding, it would have not been appropriate, of course. The English are SO good at keeping the dignity of the occasion, and that is what Elizabeth II has done here.
