The machine didn't get to show off very much, but moments like these really highlight how powerful it is.

​@Christopher Adams She only really solidified her identity after going Decentralized and eventually being reborn as 2.0 I don't think The Machine has a real sense of self yet.

Look how quickly Root bended the machine to instantly do powerful things the way Root wanted them. Imagine what she would be capable of doing with Admin/God rights without the 24-hr cut-off (smart plot armor from smart writers!). Get revenge on every person who did her wrong EVER, untraceable wealth & luxury, ability to gather perfect intel at will, manipulate stock markets, directly influence elections…Imagine what she would have been capable of during peak COVID when most of the world was communicating digitally instead of face to face.

2:47 most casual revealing of the machine to anyone.

Damn this was such an underrated show !

This show popularized “Artificial Intelligence” all the way back in 2011 before anyone knew what it was

​@AlbarbTheGreat true but here is shoes an AI that hasn't turned bad. Heck it's the closet thing to a good AI at the time. A machine that learned and valued life. It also fought another machine a machine that wanted just control that ddint care who or what got in its way and did horrible things and ultimately our machine Harold's machine won in the end.

My favorite show of all time. Way too underrated.....!!!

An ex-CIA agent and a wealthy programmer save lives via a surveillance AI that sends them the identities of civilians involved in impending crimes. However, the details of the crimes, including the civilians' roles, are left a mystery.

Notice how when John tells Sameen about the machine, her ID goes from blue to yellow. I can assume with a relatively high degree of certainty that there is some degree of safety if you transition from primary agent to contingency agent when it comes to learning about the machine.

Love this show! Tbh i wish they could've just push it a little further without compromising the entire integrity of the show. Still, one very big and fat ❤in my book!

Anybody notice how Shaws ID box goes from blue to yellow? 🤔 I believe yellow is an asset, I don’t think I’ve seen another blue...

Well, Shaw was an asset for the Machine but she was working the relevant numbers so maybe it’s for that part of the mission.

Blue is government assets of the machine unaware of its true nature. And Relevant-One, but with a black box outline.

@@tedspeed3338 it's not the fact that she switched sides, it's the fact that she learned that the machine exists. Albeit the show is a bit inconsistent in that regard. Reese gets a yellow box in the pilot before he knows, which makes no sense. Root has one in the season 1 finale (and she does know already there, so it's a nice foreshadow/pre-reveal reveal that something is off about Ms. 'Turing') but then in the season 2 opening episode they forgot to give her the yellow box, gave her a white one, and later in that episode she gets-for obvious reasons-a red one.

If you like this show ..read Daemon by Daniel Suarez. I feel like the show was inspired by it.

In God Mode, The Machine…: Ingrham (AUX_ADMIN): Sends the SSN and bio of irrelevant. Root: sends audio prompts and info of irrelevants via different voices. Reese: Guides him with directions using clock (audio of different voices). And sends him alerts of irrelevants in imminent danger. Root (After retasking) : Sends her to irrelevants that are in need, and are useful to the task at hand (via different voices and prompts). Finch (ADMIN): Does anything Finch wishes. "You created me! I can do anything you want! " Via the voice the machine chose someone who is deceased as an avatar, Root, Samantha Groves. Finished High school teacher (for a breif time).

I always liked this voice for The Machine, ambiguos. I mean it’s nice Root calls it a “she”, but true AI is beyond gender.

I think here is this thing: in some languages (either subtitling or dubbing), the term "machine" has the translation as noun, feminine gen.

Eh, if an AI gains enough sentience to know about and differentiate gender, it can choose one of it's own if it likes to 🤷‍♂️
