Now it's actually Haruhi's melancholy

Listening to this after the incident that occurred at KyoAni's main studio just makes this song that's supposed to be upbeat into one that really made me cry.

Amazing how practically just changing the tempo can turn such an upbeat rock song into this emotionally crushing tragic piece.

Every time I listen to this song I feel an indescribable peace.

1) God Knows _is_ about a girl reaching out to a guy who is in despair. If anything, this instrumental version is an unadulterated translation of a rock band song. 2) That first statement... agreed.

+patrick susulin Not really, it depends on how it is composed. Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso by Saint-Saënz (what I was listening before I ran into this video lol) doesn't sound sad at all. You can find it in the Shigatsu wa kimi no uso OST, which has a nice variety of Piano and Piano/Violin pieces that show how different the same instruments can sound depending on how they are played.

A pity i just found you just now.. One of the best arrangement for God Knows. I give thumbs up for your spirited away also. It is a simple but amazing piano arrangement. Keep up the good work and if possible if you can cover hotaru, nai2 from shadow houses it will be an amazing work of art i believe

If you click on settings and change the speed to 1.5 then it's at "normal" speed for the original song.

Why did i imagine listening to this on top of a hospital roof staring at sky as snow falls down onto me while I'm sitting in a wheelchair going through memories.
