    I'm pleasantly surprised that the atheist acknowledged that Quranic argument is irrefutable on the existence of God and accepts that God does Exists

  • @MathewSteeleAtheology

    @MathewSteeleAtheology

    6 ай бұрын

    Irrefutable, hardly. 1) Causation is an argument that requires time to be coherent and time is only one of the nine dimensions. Time and space are four dimensions. Even if time and space began completely at the singularity 13.7 billion years ago, that still leaves at least five other dimensions, and as astrophysics currently shows, a quantum field and potentially gravity exists outside of space and time. 2) It hasn't been shown conclusively by anyone anywhere that anything can exist wholly independently of the cosmos, much less an immaterial mind, when every mind that we have evidence for requires a brain. 3) Even if there is a cause, that doesn't make it a named deity who is currently worshipped. If Islam were just about causation, it wouldn't be Allah. If Christianity were just about causation, it wouldn't be Jesus. If Judaism were just about causation, it wouldn't be Yahweh.

    @@MathewSteeleAtheology So you are postulating that 2 of these 9 dimensions began at the beginning of the universe, but the other 7 or 5 haven't? I would really love to see the science that proves this. Also, if you're referring to string theory, I would like to see the paper which says that the extra dimensions (which they believe to be smaller) are somehow not-created. I would like to see where astrophyics shows that quantum fields exist outside of space and time. If it's just populations, then you are replacing one so-called "assertion" with another. Furthermore, the intelligent design of the universe must necessitate an mind beyond the cosmos. This is, of course, not conclusive proof of God, but when did we say it was? The speaker in the video made abundantly clear that these are logical proofs that God "Should Exist". Islam is not just about causation, it's about the Holy Qur'an as the speaker says.

    @@MathewSteeleAtheology You said: "It hasn't been shown conclusively by anyone anywhere that anything can exist wholly independently of the cosmos, much less an immaterial mind, when every mind that we have evidence for requires a brain". This is an erronous claim. As the Muslim in the video stated, the burden of proof is to show: "the rule of thumb across every single discipline of science across the entire world of rationality and logic is that a thing cannot cause itself necessarily you need something outside of the thing caused to cause it time cannot cause itself space cannot cause itself materials cannot cause themselves matter cannot cause itself energy cannot cause itself you need something that is extremely powerful outside of energy outside of time therefore Timeless outside of matter therefore immaterial to cause it"

    Alhamduilah! This is why Tahrik-e-Jadid is needed! I reverted before Jummah prayer at the Baitun-Nur Mosque here in Calgary Alberta Canada (the biggest mosque in Canada, we are followers of true Islam) 17 November 2023. I’m a former Catholic, and it was Surah Al-Baqarah that opened my eyes. I love this video, it respectfully and beautifully represents the truth and brings it out to the public in a beautiful way! May Allah bless you for your hard work! On a side note, Inshallah think the Jewish woman listening is close to making Shahada.

    For the last few years I've been really set on the feeling that the onus is on atheists to prove that God doesn't exist and this video justified even more. I don't feel it's fair for the experiences of God through not just through prayer to be brushed off as fantasy or naivety or whatever. True Islam is irrefutable and is so much more than what you hear. Great video by the Existence Project team 🙏🏾

    the burden of proof traditionally lies on the one making a positive claim. In the case of the existence of God, theists posit the existence of a divine being, and atheists, in the absence of conclusive evidence, may withhold belief. It's not necessarily about proving a negative but rather seeking evidence to support a positive assertion.

  • @SpiritualTruth1889

    @SpiritualTruth1889

    @@pinkiethesniper6630 I agree, that proof is needed for certainty in God's Existence. However, I'd like to mention that the onus lies also on the atheist to demonstrate the veracity of their claim, that this universe came out of nothing. Because when atheism presents a negative statement, that "I dont believe in God", it necessarily presents a positive one which is "The universe came out of nothing, and created itself". For this we demand proof from Atheists, to mention anything at all, which could come into existence on its own. The burden of proving such a statement, lies on the atheist.

    Just because a thing cannot cause itself doesn't mean a God must have necessarily caused it. All it means is that everything has a cause. The only evidence we have of things coming into existence is from natural causes. How do you take the logical leap from "everything must have a cause" to "God of the Quran"? Space, matter, energy could have always existed, but in different forms.

  • @WorldCupWillie
    @WorldCupWillieАй бұрын

    So Allah created time before time was invented 😂 do they not realise that 'before' is a temporal concept. So there would be a state before God has decided to create time. Then the next step would be the state where God has made the decision to create time, and finally the state of reality after God has created time. But this incoherent contradictory idea means time exists before God creates it. All these 'arguments' attempt to address difficult questions about reality but positing a God that's basically just special pleading all the time. God is the easy answer that in fact, doesn't really answer anything.

  • @FrikInCasualMode
    @FrikInCasualMode5 ай бұрын

    Even if things can't cause themselves, you still have to prove it is a god (in general) that is the cause and not something natural we haven't discovered yet. Then you would have to prove that *your* particular God is the cause. And then it would be nice if you'd identify the cause for your God, then cause for the cause of your God... and so on. Which you won't because "Oh, but my God is such a special snowflake, he alone did not needed a cause. He always existed! Because reasons." is a go-to non-answer for all apologists. Sorry my guy, but you did not come with anything new, original and not debunked yet.

    By something natura you mean an uncaused entity which is able to meticulously design and fabricate space and time out of nothing? Also, we agree that mere logical arguments won’t lead you to absolute certainty in God’s existence. That’s why the Holy Qur’an sets forth a regimen, whereby one can believe in God through witnessing and experiencing a relationship with Him, livid with fresh signs and proofs of His existence. The Holy Qur’an doesn’t leave one at the door of conjecture, but rather leads one to such a certainty, which is known as Haqqul Yaqin. This can be conceived of through the following analogy. You see fire from far away, you approach and see the fire, and then you touch the fire. The last stage, the stage of certainty of experience, is what is known as Haqqul Yaqin, which is the instruction of all believers to find. The Qur’an does not settle for anything less. Belief in God must be substantiated by experiential evidence. Next, Your own statement counters your “argument”. You can’t have a cycle of infinite regress and you unknowingly answer that point yourself. If I said X made God, you would ask who made X, then if I said Y made X who Made God, you would ask, who made Y. We would end up in a cycle that runs forever, and has no beginning, which thereby cannot exist. There needs to be an initial event, caused by something definitionally beyond what is being caused (i.e space, matter and time)

  • @TariqMahmood-qs5wx

    @TariqMahmood-qs5wx

    5 ай бұрын

    Infinite regress is a ery overplayed argument, and incredibly flawed. It cannot be a fair response, because if there was an infinite regress, then we wouldn't be created, for there would need to be an infinite number of creations before us, meaning there would always be creations that would need to be created for our creation. So we arrive at a cause which is uncaused, Who began it all. WE don't claim that this is end-all. ofGod, but rather that you can build a personal experience with Him, so that you can substantiate His existence.
