Sounds like you have not found the right church for YOU. I tried out many different churches before I became a member at a Methodist church in California. Not all churches are like "Jazz Clubs", nor are all churches traditional. THANK GOD for the diversity. As human beings we are all different, and what appeals to one individual does not necessarily appeal to another. I am amazed by all the judgemental comments coming from what I assume are Christians. Find a church that you are comfortable with, that you are inspired by and let others do the same. We don't need to put down folks/churches simply because we don't like the type of music they sing.

Been inactive for about two months, I randomly came across this, I felt like the lord is telling me he can't wait to be with me again, he wants me to be at church with my brothers and sisters. I am going to go this Sunday !

I too have heard this sung at many funerals and have had tears pour from my eyes thinking we were singing this saying farewell to our loved ones. Then I realized that they too were probably singing it to us as a prayer that God would care for us till we joined them at the end of our mortal tenure. With greater understanding and appreciation my eyes still fill with tears of gratitude and love.

Sure Brother, there is some gospel songs that remind us about our loved ones, Especially if they use to listen to such a songs. But we'll soon be all together with our Heavenly Father and our loved ones... The reason why we also have to preach the Good news to our relative so that we all can meet each another in Heaven once we end up our mission on this earth.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom in 2021 after a 6 year battle with brain cancer. She always loved this hymn and the true meaning behind it. Their chapter on earth may be finished, but their story continues. May you find peace during the dark times my friends

Yesterday I was asked to make the benediction and I started to pray for those in ICU with covid-19 as well as those on ventilator's and those who we're in the daily stats after being diagnosed with this dangerous and terrible disease. It's really comforting according to Church teaching that we will meet after this mortal life.We also belief this in Jesus name,amen

My daughter Caroline who was set to graduate at LDC on 28th July 2022 died in a tragic train/car collision at Kinawataka,Nakawa on 10th July the same year just 18 days to her post graduate diploma...this song that was sung several times during the hard times gives me hope that we shall eve meet. MHSRIP

Some thirty years ago, this was sung at my little boys funeral along with,' I am a Child of God'. When ever it is sung I see his face clearly before me the night he died. It brings tears of sorrow, hope and joy all at the same time. I am so grateful for the restored knowledge that families are forever and my family and I will only have to wait and be lovingly patient a little while longer to all be together again. .

I raised 6 kids and have felt that the greatest burden in life would be the loss of a baby, a child. GOd bless you in bearing this burden,and for the times when you can turn it into joy at the upcoming reunion ! ANd for the faith in GOd's purposes - that when you see the big picure, your heart will fill with gratitude that your child was chosen for god's purposes :)

My grandmother passed away an hour ago. She had reached a respectable age of 99 years, 11 months and 1 day. She had agreed to prepare a cup of tea when I knocked at the door in 60 years' time. You are well, Grandma.

In her last hours, the last words my precious mother uttered to us, "please sing, God be With you Til we meet Again." She barely had the strength to say so, but this was her dying prayer for us. We managed to sing through it, and it was sung several days later at her Celebration of Life service. What a beautiful, powerful and precious pray for hope with eternity.....

Fabulous rendition of this hymn, sang it first at an aunt's funeral about 5 years ago, my uncle chose it and my mother asked me to look it up and learn it so as to sing it as the congregation would not necessarily know it. He died about 2 years later and we sang another beautiful hymn "Oh Love That Will Not Let Me Go", look up the Westminster Chorus version.

Ever since grandma died, i come here to remember the moment this hymn was played in the church, and i can’t forget how i cried it alll out

This song makes me feel better that everything be all right. I know God is on my side.

I am a man who is not involved in religion at all. But I feel the singing of this choir is wonderful. They may be the epitome of good Americans as opposed to drug addiction and violence.😊

I lost my Dad a few years ago.He was 86 years old.last month I saw him him saw him in a dream,smiling happily at me.He was very youthful in his looks,about 25 years old,like a resurrected body.Thus hymn brings back the memory that I love my father very much and we will be united again after I live this mortal life together with my mum,siblings,children and descendents as it is God's Will to us.

I have heard this song ( Ilocano version) in our church before whenever there is a funeral service. Now, i havent heard it. It is good we have you tube to watch and hear the old hymns. I like it

I shall continue to hold the members of the LDS in my heart while I continue to bequeath all evil in this live world! I just found out that there are three (3 each) of LDS churches in my domicile for me to put on my Sunday clothes with tie, therefore seeing Jesus in my mind, to directly manifest to him, my prayers! God bless all the good Christians that are of the Church of Jesus of the Latter-Day Saints!

Hearing this choir is the nearest the sky we can reach living on this earth

My cat died a few days ago and he was only six months old, I know he didn't have enough time on this world, but I'm glad those 6 months meant something to me and my family and him. I'll meet my cat again someday.

I came back to the Chuch this year i fell away for 30 years thank you to my friends esp my great Brother in Christ Clay Christiansen former Tab organist who worked with me on coming home :)

Grew up singing at the end of church every Sunday. I miss my church. Even tho I don't live near it. My heart still lives there & memories of those passed ✝️💜

My school is suffering the lost of one of our favorite, enthusiastic, wonderful teachers. He was shot and killed right before driving to his job. I know that we will all meet again and when that day comes, I hope to remember this precious song for it is the truth. May we all meet again. I testify that when we choose to follow Heavenly Father and let the Holy Spirit enter into our body, mind, and soul, we shall find our way back to not only Heavenly Father but back to those whom we lost. Our time on earth may end and these temples which we reside in may become part of the earth, but our soul goes up to Heavenly Father and when we truly put our entire faith into him, we will see the light.

I like listening to these hymns because it reminds me of going to church with Grandpa and sitting in the third row every Sunday. I miss talking to you grandpa I love and miss you very much I know you still talk to me thank you for everything.

I can't avoid crying whenever I listen to this heavenly hymn. When my mother passed away almost 12 years ago I had the privilege to hold her hands a couple of minutes after she flew to the kingdom of our Heavenly Father and guess which were my final words to her.They were "Till we meet again ,God be with you till we meet again"... (Gosh ! I know she's watching over me from heaven but that I miss her ,I do....)

My husband is pass away last march 25 this song felt me a much gratitude and thanks to heavenly father that jesus send us our beloved our beloved savior that hopefully see our loveones in jesus in feet.thanks for the gospel and ressurection that given to us missed my father brother husband and my loveones ,friends that pass away,I thankful for the gift that given to us that we can live again and meet our loveones again.

I'm so sorry about your husband, my deepest condolence to you, trust me I completely understand how you feel, I lost my wife 3yrs ago to a horrible heart attack, it was a terrible experience for me but I kept strong for my little daughter hoping for the best future for her, time does heal the broken heart expecially when you're around the right people, life goes on because the future and our happiness is all that really matters because our past doesn't it's just full of both sad and happy memories of our loved one's that passed away, I'd love to talk to you more if you don't mind, I'd have drop my cell # here but I'm not sure about that it'd be nice if you send me your email address so I can reach out on you….????

I was inactive for about 10 years, straight. My wife became a convert about 2 years into our marriage. She was taking the lessons on our front porch as I was at work and the missionaries were coming by for the “focus 15” to see me and I would just be nice to them but let them know I was not wanting to come back. Little did I know, through the spirit, the missionaries and my wife via Heavenly Father and Christ; I too would be coming back home and be married and in the temple with my new family and wonderful eternal companion. Humbled and grateful is an understatement. There are not the words to express my gratitude and love for my Heavenly Father, Christ, the gospel, my wife and our children!!

I requested this song for my father's funeral. It was bitter sweet

This the most precious sight to witness God's Love, his Unconditional Love.

When my father and my mother passed away the members of the church sang this song for them in the funeral, when ever I hear this song I miss them always 😥

I cried while watching this., i felt so much joy. Thank you lord.

We sang this song at my mother's funeral in 2015 and I can't listen to it without starting to cry every time. I'm the only member of the church in my family I remember my ward helping out with the cost of the funeral and my Bishop coming to me and saying pick out two songs that really move you that will say something during her funeral. And of course this was one of them

My grandfather just passed away 5 days ago and his funeral is tomorrow, and this is the song that's gonna be playing, I really miss him.. May he rest..

The Mormon Tabernacle choir is entirely volunteer, they practice for hours on end, travel extensively, etc. The maximum time a member is allowed to sing is 20 years, and most do their 20 and would stay longer if they could. Love them, they soothe my troubled heart after brutal days.

My dad went “home” just before Christmas 2 years ago. Still miss talking with him and getting his advice. Comforts me to know he’s with mom and happy. God bless you

Without question, music is the universal language, and for over 176 years since this magnificent choir was founded in August of 1847 it's been wonderfully used to communicate a message of divine love through songs that transcend, the divisions of politics, religion and culture. I'm not a Morman but remain deeply thankful for the ministry of song by their choir.

God will be with me till I meet my parents and my daughter Grace again.

This is a song of the departed as a comfort to those who they have left. Behind. Our pastor and my grandpa just died recently and we buried them this morning and afternoon. this song just suddenly crossed ny mind and i sung it but i wasn't expecting that the congregation knew the song too and they sung along with me. Tears are falling from our eyes that we struggled to finish the song. Rest in eternal peace pastor and gramps. Until we meet again.

I have had many relatives pass away as well and this song plus my testimony of eternal families brings happiness to me.
