Це демо ролик, завдяки якому я вступила до магістратури анімації та створення анімаційних фільмів у Gobelins (міжнародний клас). Я хотла би подякувати всім своїм друзям і вчителям, які давали поради на моєму шляху. I'm also thinking of applying to Gobelins' masters international program this year, I'd love it if you could share a bit on the application deadlines/dates or about the whole application process in general? I don't know anybody's who has experience with the application process to Gobelins so I'm kind of in this on my own ^^ anyways any info would be really helpful!

Hey hey! Its the season of applications to Gobelins so I understand that there might be some people that watched this portfolio that may have questions about applying. I am still working on my video explaining how I believe I got into Gobelins but it is taking longer than I expected as I am balancing it with other school and personal projects. I am trying my best to hurry so people can still find it useful as they apply. In the meantime, feel free to ask me questions below and I will try to answers those know how to! :) Good luck everybody. This school is worth it.

Hi, I love your work!! I'm also thinking of applying to Gobelins and I have some questions. Is speaking French fluently required? Also how long is the program?

@@pinkravat Hello! The programs are both French and international so French is not required. The whole program is Bachelor 3 years + Masters 2 years, so 5 years total. If you already have a bachelor degree in animation or have worked in the animation industry for 5 years you can apply for masters directly.

@@loafkey Thank you, I was worried I'd have to learn a new language just to study haha. Also, I heard that there are entrance exams for the school, do you know anything about that? I've heard you need to have some specific books read?.. Sorry for the load of questions:')

@@pinkravat Don't worry. I am not 100% sure how the bachelor application works because I did not experience it. But I know that last time people needed to create a tumblr blog with their various artwork, plus a notification letter. Before you needed to also give 5 things like books, paintings or movies that inspire you. I think that is what you mean. But I am not sure if they changed that for this year so I would study the application rules on the Gobelins website. Do not hesitate to email them as they are very nice and will answer application process questions much better than I could haha.

@@honeyoink Don't worry about the interview. Just be your self and say what you need to say. They are very Nancie, friendly people and they ask questions in a casual conversation way. I would just suggest having a small card of key words you know you should mention, like the names of artists that inspire you. But either way, I am working on a video talking about my application process in more detail, portfolio, invitation letter and interview too :) Fingers crossed I will be done by mid November!

Love your work!!! ❤ I'm a 3D Animator and I'm interested in applying too! Do they expect us to already know how to use TV Paint/Toon Boom? Since I'm a 3D Animator, I mainly use Maya. I do 2D animation too but with a different program~

Coming from a 3d background is cool! You don't have to know TV paint and toonboom but it would be a plus to at least have opened the program once haha. When I did my portfolio that was the level of experience with tv paint I had. :)

I really don't know. It's best to look on Gobelins official website or send them an email though the contact section on the site. They are quite responsive and speak English :)

Hello! The master's is a degree you can apply for after you have already done your bachelor's . This means that I have done a bachelor's of animation in a different school :)

En bref, je construis mon portfolio en montrant toutes les choses que je peux faire car je ne suis pas très bon dans un domaine précis et je suis plutôt généraliste. J'ai reçu des critiques d'un professeur des Gobelins. Vous pouvez aussi la demande si vous venez à la journée portes ouvertes des Gobelins. Et enfin, j'ai rejoint un serveur discord Gobelins Animation Hopefuls et j'ai partagé des commentaires avec d'autres personnes qui postulent en même temps. :) Le processus d'admission change chaque année et je recommanderais de surveiller leur site officiel et de les contacter par e-mail. Ils sont assez réactifs et efficaces avec les choses techniques !

On the Gobelins website they have a description for each course. Under which there is a pdf of the admission requirements. I would suggest to check that to be sure as the details can change from year to year.

great reel! I especially love your animals studies, these are some mighty chickens! And the background sketches from trips and the concept arts for "Marumong"! would love to see more videos on your application process/how you're finding the semester in the international class :) I'm from Poland and was thinking of applying, but it just seems so unachievable money-wise also wanted to check you out on insta, but that link doesn't seem to be working :(
