We have visited Goathland many times in the 2000's and the old recovery truck, and the old Austin's were there, also the police car used in the series, were there at the side of Skripps Garage. On our first visit, we saw the crew setting up flood lighting at the side of the roads ready for evening filming. Its a great show, and I enjoy the re-runs on ITV3 week nights.

Timeless classic program

I watch this excellent show most nights, as it much better than the "Soaps" that replaced it with their "Nasty Vindictive Storylines" At least with "Heartbeat" we had a bit of "Action" well scripted Storylines and "Likeable" main characters, which you can't say about shows of today. We used to visit "Goathland" in the 2000's when the show was still on air, and our first visit, the crew were setting up for an evening shoot, but one of the guys moved his large van so I could take some pictures. Now my father has passed away, and my mother is in a Nursing Home, I look back longingly to those times we spent together. My Father even looked alot like Alf Ventress (William Simons) in his later years. r.i.p Mr Simons. Dereck Fowlds, Geoffery Hughes, and Peter Benson.

Beautiful village could have stayed forever. Great walks and picnic area lovely church. The hotel served excellent afternoon tea. Going back soon. 😊😊😊😊🐱🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Stayed in Goathland many years ago at The Inn On The Moor Hotel next to the garage and opposite the "Adenfield" pub. Some of the cast and crew of Heartbeat were staying in the hotel. Dinner time was interesting and had nice chats with Nick Berry who I knew from previously and `Greengrass` and others. All very nice and we were able to watch some scenes being filmed in the village.

I have been to Goathland and had a drink in the Aidensfield Arms I hope to go back this year

If you go to Whitby you also have to go Goathland as well which I did yesterday. When I was in the village imagined the 1960's police cars giving chsse, PC Michael Bradley on his motorbike, The pub, Vernon Scripps etc. Heartbeat was a great program

I have lived near Goathland about 20 miles away for most of my life. A beautiful part of England and well worth a visit for a holiday.

Been to watch heartbeat ffilmed.Met bernard cribins and nick berry. Really nice place to visit. Nice ice cream there. Lovely people there.

I visited Goathland by Train on the Pickering Steam line. I also turned into the turning to drive there whilst at Whitby one year but saw the (I think) 1 in 16 descent and immediately stopped and turned around, since my small Hyundai camper would never have made it back up !!! It's a small village but plenty to see - thanks for the trip Mr Walk, keep em coming 👍💯✔ I also, as per another comment, prefer instrumental music, as he so rightly says you can concentrate more on the video - right, going to watch the other one now, thanks again 🤩

If you're a fan of Heartbeat or Harry Potter, visiting Goathland is a must. I really enjoyed my time here. Didn't get a chance for a pint at The Aidensfield Arms though. I'm hoping to stay at the Mallyan Spout Hotel in Goathland when I next come up to Yorkshire.

@@GimbalWalkTV Not sure if it's a pub as well as a hotel but yes, you're right. There is a walk behind it that goes to a waterfall.

Have done this visit. Lovely part of Yorkshire. Thoroughly enjoyed the train ride to Pickering.

Enjoyed the video of Goathland, the Police Panda car is a Ford Anglia. I had one in the 60’s, mine was a rust bucket but that one looks in excellent condition.

A lot of cars were rust buckets in the 60s. I had a mini 850, you had to be good at welding lol

What a delightful stroll. And the Ford Anglia - 0-60 in a week - going downhill.

Next week I'm going for a day out there with my friend and her grandson. The little boy asked my friend if we could go back to Goathland for a visit but she said it's too far away. I decided yesterday that we WILL go as a surprise for the little lad. It's going to be a drive of 79 miles from their caravan (I'm driving), but hey - it's his holiday as well as ours isn't it? I can't wait to see his face when he realises we're heading into the village. I hope the weather will be kind to us.

Visited there a few years ago while staying in Scarborough. Heard that the stopped using the pub interior after a while, due to the owners wanting more money, so they recreated the interior at a studio, meaning that only the exterior was used from then on. I see they still have the Aidensfield Arms signs on the side.

The church in goathland is worth a visit. Is the opposite the Malham spout Hotel. Continue past the shops you will find after a bit of a walk.

I've tried it without music and people watch for between 20 and 30 seconds, and with the music they watch all of the video ♥️
