GREAT painting advice, would love this every terrain

Looks just like the box art. It would have been nice to see the flip side of the battlemat.

Finally some half height "Sector Mechanicus" platforms! Wish they went all in and did some ladders and stairs.

Reminds me of thr Shadow War scenery

This set has great potential... If platforms are used more "logically" (i.e. creating shaped walkways, with adjacent platforms instead of letting them floating alone) using the joining clips, it is easy to create a good Necromunda, multilevel style scenery. Moreover, once disassembled is very easy to pack and carry around. Seriously thinking of purchasing a second set.

Thanks for showing this. Problem is though, for KT flying and obscuring breaking is a huge imbalance concern it seems. Seems like a massive oversight

Yeah, when I saw this terrain set my thoughts went straight to necromunda.

Salutations and Happy Holidays! Thank you for the review. I am actually quite suprised how quickly the terrain sold out. Was it FOMO-who knows? Personally I agree with GW separating the terrain from the units as the terrain(in this instance) was an easy pass for me. I purchased a set of sprues from Ash Wastes terrain on ebay which for me just looks thematically better. Surely GW can do a better job of repurposing their existing terrain lines?

How good does the Terrain fit to the Necrumunda Terrain? Would be cool to get that Info in the Review, too.

Nice, it looks like the walkways are around the same height as the Hive Walls from Necromunda, are they a one for one match in height or are they off a bit like some other terrain?

I have to decide between painting it to match my existing walkways for use in Necromunda, or painting it to match the killzone board for Kill Team. Either way its going to look out of place somewhere 🤷🏼‍♂️

I feel like there is something missing from this set that the previous sets had. The previous sets feel like they have more character. Maybe the next releases will give us some more interesting variations on the terrain and this is just the most basic part. I'd still recommend this set to a beginner as its very easy to put together and paint up.

The terrain painting tips are great as always. The terrain looks great, but I don't like it as much as the Fronteris set. I think some of it is because the Fronteris pieces look like they serve a functional purpose instead of just a random assortment of gantries. Maybe mixed in with some of the other Mechanicus terrain it'll look like it actually does something. It's kinda like Sigourney Weaver's line from Galaxy Quest, "I mean, it serves no useful purpose for there to be a bunch of chompy, crushy things in the middle of a hallway. No, I mean we shouldn't have to do this, it makes no logical sense, why is it here?

Does the other side of the board look any different?

I really like the concept for the new KT but after a few games it felt very flat. Like a Infinity for dummies but not as fun or deep as it could have been. The version before that hade the very bad level-up system that made guardsmen marine expensive 😅 No, I think its Necromunda (any version) or the old 4rth edition rules with sentries 👌🍻 Merry Xmas 🎅🎄

not gonna lie, the first time i saw these, it looked like the donkey kong game. It still does now :D I still can't believe even the imperium would make their workers jump from gantry to gantry to work the machinery, so all the loose and single standing pieces of gantry just look super weird to me. I have all the other big boxes up untill now, but i guess this one isn't for me.

Nice paintjob. Thanks for showing the kit. But not gonna lie, this for sure looks like one of the cheapest and most uninspired terrain designs GW put out in a long while. There are MDF kits out there with more detail, variety and design put in for a cheaper price. A hard skip for me.

The terrain honestly feels like a visually less interesting version of the mechanicus stuff.
