I'm intrigued by the rules and the crazy mash-up setting - hope you get a few games in so I can get a better feel for it. That said, I've just pre-ordered the Warlord Epic Hannibal set, so I think painting hundreds of teeny Romans might put me off painting them in a bigger scale!

@@StormWildSpace There's a big fanbase for cthulhu-based stories, so it makes commercial sense, and we've made our own version of the mythos with sometimes different gods and creatures. It has a continuing plot down through the ages. It's tricky balancing new with familiar. Truly familiar is a big license like Star Trek, but for something you own and create you either draw on familiar and popular genres that you know there will have enough of an audience for to make it sell, or you go completely unique and different and risk not getting any interest or sales. I love the Roman era and it had only been combined with cthulhu mythos in a previous RPG not a miniatures game so i felt this was a good starting point and 'somewhat' new especially with the narrative mechanics. But really, nothing is new - you'll be surprised how many pitches we get that are convinced they've created the most unique storyline, and we often think... they've clearly not read 'insert game x or y' :-)
