Do you have a 2005 Yukon Denali and need to replace your broken Foldaway Mirrors? In this KZread video I remove and replace my broken Folding Mirrors . This is really easy to do. This DIY will work on 2000 to 2006 GMC, Truck,Yukon, Denali, Suburban,Tahoe or Escalade.
My mirror has a Defroster and a turn signal Light on it. Don’t take it to a dealer or a body shop to have this done. If you do it will cost you an arm and a leg. You can do this repair for around $15 bucks. It is so simple.

we have a 2003 Yukon Denali -- new to us -- with lots of little things we want repaired but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a vehicle we only use locally. Your video is great for the mirror change with heater & signal. Great speed, easy to understand and appreciate the pace of the demonstration and that you actually took the time to show each step. I'm going to be replacing the mirror on my 2006 Chevy Silverado. I'm so glad to find different videos that give me an idea of what I'm doing. back down to the garage too close to the side and oops! but it looks like something I can do!

@@notsofast2325 after trying the mirrors a full day of driving I noticed my eyes having trouble focusing quickly. Is this how the after market mirrors are? I’m thinking of returning them and finding another brand. Purchased from ebay for $20

@@notsofast2325 My orig mirror had wires for the heater & turn signal (tbh, I couldn't see any evidence of a turn signal embedded in it) so that's what I bought as a replacement hoping both side signals were just burned out (just bought my '01 Yukon) but the signal in the new mirror doesn't light up. What am I missing?

@@danielsharon524 Well check and see if your getting power to your mirrors, it may be a fuse.
Hi, thank you for taking the time o put out this video. I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado with just the led mirror turn indicators. Ant the turn indicator stopped working. Can you tell me where I might find a replacement? I plan on pulling the mirror off to see if its something simple like the connection or wire came loose. Thank you. Scot

Would you have a video on just replacing the glass? From what I understand is that the covering can be purchased for a fraction of the cost compared to the whole component with electrical turn signal and defroster like mine has.

How do you remove Extender / tow mirrors on a 2015 Yukon XL Denali
Did the mirror not look distorted or zoomed in recently changed myn and doesn’t look normal to me
those mirrors are power folding?
Good video, Ive looked at many on here, great job. Question, I have a very plain jane 2007 chevy silverado, no heated mirrors, no electrical switches or power anything, just a standard work truck. I would like to install heated mirrors easily? hahaha. Some folks say the truck should be pre wired, and use the heater control switch for defroster for the heated mirrors once installed. I dont even have any wires going to the mirrors or doors, so is there a plug in wire under the dash? Nobody seems to have a clue. Ive seen kits you can buy, and apply the heating mechanism to the back of the mirror, with a wire to a button you hot wire and install on your dash, is that my only option? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Ive tried to find out with my vin number if the truck is prewired, just get the run around from parts people.

i would look at a fuse block stigmatic that has the fuse location of that system, then tap into it.

There is no guarantees, it depends how long your mirror has been in place. They may be Brittle. You can try to spray some WD-40 to oil it up. Good Luck

i just snaps in.
I bought a replacement three times and I can never get mine to snap into place, and that it shatters every time I try to. the wires are out of the way, why is my mirror not snapping back Into place?

What I did was put some oil where it connects and ONLY put press at the center of the mirror. If you put press anywhere else it will break.
Almost or even easier than changing wiper blades

If they don't move at all you may have to check your fuse. or have them replaced.

If I push them in manually I can open them with the controls. I just can't close them. Almost like they are off a track or something .

Taking mirror out, plugged everything in, BUT can't put mirror back, will not click back until place.....
