@@lucasjs1207 I don’t really consider Buick as a “grandpa car company” in 2023 They’re more of a luxury family automotive sub brand for GM And by the way, Pontiac had the same fate as Oldsmobile

@@lucasjs1207 if you put it in perspective if you know the fate of the Japanese sub brand for Toyota, *scion* back in the day Toyota was like the Japanese Buick brand so that created scion the main purpose of scion was to target young buyers it didn’t so they shut it down in 2016 (8 years ago)

I genuinely liked Saturn. I thought they made a very nice car and I’m sorry so many lost their jobs. But what can you do? You can’t keep a company going that makes less in profit than it does in producing the product. It’s a nice car that apparently not many people wanted to buy.

My 2005 Saturn Vue just passed 360,000 miles with no major repairs. Engine and transmission are both original. Wish I could buy another one!

I think it’s because 2004-2007 models of the Vue used a Honda Odyssey sourced engine and transmission

The Vue is a rebadged Opel SUV that is a rebadged DaeWoo SUV.

My dad had a 1995 Saturn sl2 and he loved that car, me and him drove to Yellowstone in it and back with 0 problems. He worked at Saturn and loved it there he was really sad when it got shut down. He sold it like 3-4 years ago at 310,000 miles and it was still going strong.

Wow GM, you made a huge mistake getting rid of Saturn. It was a good company with lots of interesting and amazing cars, and you got rid of them. You should bring Saturn back.

The Saturn S series was hands down one of the best lines of cars in the 90s. I still have my Saturn Sl2 going strong at 230,000 miles.

Ibrahim Gaad, And to whom would they sell them? I liked these brands too, but the sales were abysmal. No one wanted them then and I can’t imagine they’d draw enough interest today to stay afloat any better than they did a decade ago.

GM should bring back Saturn. The rest can stay dead

most Saturn cars are sold under the name Vauxhall Astra in Britain and are still in mass production

I think I would like gm if they brought Pontiac and Saturn

I was a sales person for Saturn from 2001 to 2008 it was truly a different kind of company a different kind of car like the slogan said. I enjoy working there and got to see the product progress from the S-series to the Saturn Sky. I still talk fondly about them today. I think they would have been a great company for GM to show off the future of electric vehicles.

In retrospect, Saturn was really just a stop-gap measure by GM--it was their most Japanese-like car line until they figured out how to make their other cars follow suit. They still haven't, of course.

I love my 98 Sl2, 137k miles and going strong.

GM should consider bringing back Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Hummer.

So I am very familiar with them but when I see an older model Renault or a Peugeot that came across the southern border (Mexico) I get excited to see them. I am deeply saddened that Peugeot decided not to make a comeback anymore.

GM should've gotten rid of Cadillac and kept Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Saturn instead.

Caddy already suffered because of GM, recall, Cimarron, Catera to name 2. GM is trying to make it right for them.

I loved Saturn though

Saturn was the best thing GM had going. GM must use the same managers as Sears, Radio Shack, and K-Mart. Bad decision. Then GM kept Buick? Then they have to run a national campaine to convince everyone that its not gram-pa's car.

The only reason GM saved Buick is because of sales in China. Buick is really popular there

In Europe Saturn is Opel and Vauxhall but they are sold very good.

GM is a terrible company

GM shut down Saturn as it offered it's 2 nicest cars, Sky and Aura.

Why is this on my recommendation? I’m sad because of this.

I hate general motors

All GM brands are clones of each other with different outside sheet metal. If you want the Saturn Aura you can still get it but it's called a Chevy Malibu.

It was when they had a dispute on honda with the type of coolant to use. Honda was like “screw you, we won’t sell you our engines then.” So gm put in their own v6 engines wich were bad and that was the end of saturn. Credits to Scotty Kilmer.
