Glue Pulling Hail Damage - Beginner Glue Pulling Lesson

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video we will be looking out how to repair light hail damage using PDR (paintless Dent Repair).
This video is much like the instructional content you'll find at www.RealWorldPDR.com, the industry's #1 online PDR training site. We will take a look at the tools that we use, and do a step by step PDR tutorial on repairing minor dents using glue pulling.
As always we'd like to remind you that paintless dent repair is a skill that takes some time to develop and isn't necessarily suited for the standard DIY guy.

    I will also be practicing at the junkyard... I mean my daily driver with no clearcoat left (or most of its paint for that matter...) maybe there are a few spots left that can still reflect light for dent removal!

    Only been learning dent repair for about 6 months, but i really like glue pulling, especially on rails. I feel i can see the dents moving easier than on a panel that flexes more. 8ve also been finding myself getting a bit of feel for it, and adjusting how hard or soft i pull the lifter or slide hammer. Its really a finesse thing

    Oof. Try it, but go slow. It’s easy to cause more damage if you’re not trained. If you feel like you’re starting to make a mess. Get some professional help. If the hail was large enough to bust your windshield there’s a good chance that this glue pulling technique won’t be right on those dents also.

    Hi, thanks for the video, what was the ambient temperature of the panel? When you feel the glue with your nail, is it to see if it dents in the glue slightly, or seems like the glue is solid? Sometimes I get a great stick and most times it pops off too early.

  • @grandsea2

    @grandsea2

    First step clean panel and tab with clean lint free cloth and at minimum 91% alcohol if really dirty get the buffer out and lightly buff it(this will help the glue stick and also allow your line/fog board reflect better as a bonus)...second step get panel around 70-80degf, now apply glue and stick it to dent allow to cool until glue is no longer sticky to the touch...and pull... Not an experienced pdr tech so take this with that in mind and let's hang back to see what the real experts reply with to my comment!
