I would love to see this every month, maybe even at times every 3 weeks! My grandmother kept a journal for 45 years. She included snips of fabric of items she had made, even if she was asked to shorten a dress or skirt. Lots of pieces from her church papers, too. I like to think she was ahead of times.

She must have been ahead of her times! I have made quilts with fabrics of clothing, projects, and other quilts I have made. Some are repeated, but there were quite a few different pieces. And, there were enough scraps to make an even larger one for our bed. I guess that's my journal. Would love to see your grandmother's journal.

I’m watching this two years later 😊 just completed my first junk journal at age 70 and loved every minute of it. Took me right back to my childhood with the glue and paper , now I added stamps and inks and stickers. Wonderful 😂 enjoy your videos very much so thank you 🙏

The tip about not gluing edges and then tacking pieces under them is truly liberating. Love your channel and will join you for any activities, including the one you just presented.

I wasn't really clear as to what a glue book was. Thank you for explaining. Seems like so much fun. I would love to learn and do it every month, but fair warning....LOL I am new to all of this. LOL

Being so unable to concentrate I keep organized using plastic file bins with files with my scraps by color snd images. Again the items made go in to my photo albums w top loading pockets. Life saver!! I also have not been collecting any more sizes of scraps less than the size of a 3x5 index card

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Yes - a monthly video would be fabulous. I have lots of scraps. I sort by color and have a photo organizer to store them. I use mostly packaging, junk mail and magazines so can’t organize by artist the way you do. It was fun to hear you call your papers by their artist’s name. 😁

Every month would be fun! I love the way you make things fun and not so routine which is exactly why I started this endeavor of junk journaling and arty such things. Practicing mindfulness and having fun rather than overthinking things you can do nothing about. I too hate cutting into new pages. Right now I have a box full of naughty scraps that I am trying to be careful about what I put in to it, because it gets full quickly. Thanks for the video!

Hi joie: Yes! to all of your questions. We feel so guilty throwing anything out, so we end up with boxes, envelopes, trays and drawers full of scraps. Same thing with ephemera. Glue books are perfect to use these bits up. And you don’t have to measure and use your brain too much, which makes it fun and relaxing. Love everything you do. Would enjoy more crafting sessions with you. Thanks for all the tips. 💜😎🇺🇸

My watercolor basics is coming along and I’m really excited to see more about glue book to help me more with my collaging I’ve created my book and actually fussy cut many many delightful items, as I was recovering from pneumonia. Altering a book by tearing out some pages for moor room. It is what I’ve chosen.

I actually got some of the clear envelopes and sorted scraps magazine and book pages and an architecture book pages Placed in envelops by page sizes and colors. Added my envelopes to a plastic file bin. I’m so ready for this relaxing way to learn more about my collaging. Oh yes indeed. Labels. I got a photo book with top loading pockets with 3 signatures and 400 pockets for my tags, labels, vintage embellishments, shabby chic items , bits of textiles ,laces and trims. Also many pockets of florals by season It’s been a life saver.

Yes! I would watch monthly! Love to listen to your calming voice and your expressions… lol “feeling naughty!”😂😂Always!! I have to tell you that when I was a child I would cut out images of pictures from magazines and glue them into a scrapbook. I would keep cards and mementos and glue them in also! 😆…. Not only that, at Christmas I would ask Santa for a “box of paper products !” 🎅🏻🎅🏻He/she would always bring me a box of goodies! It was heavenly!😂😂 So…. I’ve had this obsession/condition since my childhood!!

Hi joie, yes indeed l thought of using my glue book pages in other projects. Like having a master board, book. I have cut up old magazines into smaller books , used old recipe books ,nothing to precious . There is something very inspiring and relaxing with glue books , it opens me up to New ideas

I have only just started collage I was never allowed to tear up paper etc when I was young, so have just started in my 60's never to late to learn, also when I was at school my art teacher said I was useless so I used to read at the back,of the class. I really enjoy watching you and getting advice etc. So yes to monthly collage. Thank you for sharing.x
