I'd have to say nay. But that's just my humble opinion. The decals are really cool, love the spider web at the top!

I personly love this effect, it looks so cool. also when you put on the bottem color i instantly thought that would be a great smoke/mist effect color, for like a ghost or sematary kind of halowwen themed cup. And the blue color with the cracle effect would be so beautifull with a full lace over it, you know like the ones where you put a lace stocking ove the full cup and then spray painted black over it. would look so awesome i think :) thanks for sharing and making great video!

neat! I wonder if it's just the clear and alcohol reaction to heat or if the specific inks have to be part of the equation. I mean if it's just the alcohol and the clear, the sky would be the limit as to the type of colors you could use, as long as it uses an alcohol carrier. I love it!

Two Spinal Taps AND a gorgeous tumbler? Spoiling me... 🤣 I'm going to try this tomorrow once the kids are back at school (yay!). I don't have a glow sub tumbler, but I do have some regular ones, so will try on that with non maribu colours because I still can't get those here easily, and report back.

I wonder if it would crackle over just a regular sublimation cupor of its just the glow sublimation? Love the cup! I wish my dollar tree had this paper.

Thanks!! Don't know - I haven't tested that (yet). My $Tree didn't have it for the longest time, but just recently started carrying some. So hopefully it'll roll out to all the stores soon.

Is it because it’s a sub cup, a glow cup or the matte spray that it crackles? It’s so coooolllll.

Thanks!! I don't know for sure, because the only time this has happened is when I've used a glow sublimation tumbler to start. It might very well work with a regular sub tumbler. It might also work with a regular white spray painted tumbler (plus 2 layers of matte clear on top). I haven't tried those variations yet, so I'm just not sure what else might produce the same crackling.

Love it! I wonder if it would work with Pinata or Ranger ink??

Thanks! Theoretically, if the crackling is the 2 layers of matte clear spray, then it should happen with any alcohol inks dropped on.

I love this tumbler, it's so pretty. The crackle technique you used is so cool, I can't wait to try it. What pressure setting did you use for cutting the spiderweb?

Thank you so much! On my Cricut, I used the "washi sheet" cut setting, which if you look in the "material settings" is a pressure of 139. It's actually the same as the "wax paper" and "wrapping paper" settings, so any of those should produce the same results.

I really like how you did this cup. I seen you using a much faster turner than what is normally used, do you have to have a faster cup turner?

Thank you!! I don't think it's absolutely necessary, but I do have better luck with the waterfall or rain alcohol ink technique in general if my turner is faster than the most common 2-3 rpm motors. I have a 6rpm turner that also works well. But a similar result should doable with any speed.

Sorry when I went to the sublimation at maker flow I only saw 20 oz tumblers

Thanks! It’s called a MiLefo and it was sold on Amazon through THECUPTURNER store. However, as soon as I published the very first video about it back in January of this year (see that video here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/e6STsqSMct28Zco.html ), this turner became "unavailable" and hasn't been restocked since. I know a number of folks who watched that first video were mad at me because the Amazon store didn't have any more (way beyond my control!), but I was really hoping it would come back after supply-chain issues had cleared up. @@clothildarohling672 probably, although I'm not 100% sure. The entire reason I got a couple different faster turners was because I was having difficulty mastering this "waterfall" or "rain" technique with alcohol inks. I follow an amazing artist who is just an absolute master at this (www.tiktok.com/@gracefulrainart), and for folks who are having trouble with the technique, she suggested that a faster turner would help. Sooooo, the implication is that it might be harder to do with a slower turner. But I doubt very much that it's impossible. And the crackling should happen regardless of the turner speed, because that's a matter of heat.
