There’s only one reason officers ask for your details. To run your details through their system in the hope of finding a reason to arrest and charge you. That’s the only reason. If you give them your first name so that they can address whom they are speaking to, they immediately ask for your surname. If you give them your surname then they immediately ask for your date of birth, and so on and so forth.

Horror of horrors there's a man with a camera walking towards the barrier. What's he going to do? All hell could break loose and civilisation as we know it will be destroyed - for heaven's sake! Two sergeants needed to ensure that the poor barrier doesn't become alarmed!

@@AuditEdthe scariest thing about your videos is the fact that according to Law AND parliament you are acting perfectly normal and in accordance with all the rights they have given you as a member of the public to roam free and film your day , the Police are there to protect your rights but they do the OPPOSITE! It’s disgusting, literally can’t stand them , totally inept waste of space

To answer your question about traffic lights, the reason is the gaps between vehicles closes as you come to a stop. To create the gap again, there has.to be a lag between each car taking off. To all start on green, you would have to leave a 2 second gap at whatever the average speed on the road is.

The moment you asked them about the BWC, they knew they fucked up approaching you. They immidiately changed their attitude, and came down from their high horses. Police should hire you as a trainer to educate them on how to socialize with members of the public with respect to the rights of and the public and the police.

Ed,you are a diamond,we are all seeking understanding of each others worries, and trying to get along,keep doing what you are doing ,it's breaking down barriers,top man.

Cops when confronted by an informed citizen the bulling stops and they become all nice and friendly wolves in sheep's clothing comes to mind.

When he said about someone walking towards the police station so came out to see what's going on, the question should have been asked if they go speak to every member of public who walks towards a police station breaking no laws or just members of the public walking towards a police station with a camera breaking no laws. Also he said he does his job correctly after you have told more than once about his BWC which he used incorrectly.

The contradiction of you filming which they find "suspicious" and their failure to follow their own code of practice and film you covertly. just doesn't seem to occur to them. I think it's this complete either unwillingness or lack of awareness that bending rules for their own perceived justifiable aim is concerning. They live in a bubble which perpetuates this feeling of invincibility from rules applying to them. These guys are far removed from the ones behaving in a retaliatory way to you but would tbey call out tnose guys? Unless they do the divide remains. Just as the guy hiding his name was that condemned by the officer?

It's called a common respect. Don't try to copy them. Be the better person. Show them up, if you can, to what any normal person would expect of them that try to antagonise you. Intimidate you. Course alarm and distress. It is very hard I know. I wear the t-shirt but still do my best to be the better person. Try it. You will see what matters most. Step outside your comfort zone and learn from those who are different than you.

In the small claims track, there is very limited opportunity to recover legal costs (which are likely to be £5k minimum), and any compensation paid, would generally be used to satisfy costs. It seems to me those who suggest on here, that getting solicitors involved in a vicarious action against a chief constable, is a good idea, are either mentally ill, or have little or no understanding of how the law works? As the actions of police in response to lawful activities such as filming, seem to be very similar, why not generate a pro forma letter before action, that could be altered to accommodate particular circumstances, and make this freely available online? If this is ignored, then go to court as a LIP, and as long as the video supports what is claimed, there is a good chance of winning the case. This would in time, lead to pigs being much more amenable to settling out of court, and may cause them to behave less like SS camp guards.........lol
