This video invites the viewer to step into the intensive care unit during a glossopharyngeal teaching session with Greg and the respiratory therapist.
Greg suffered a spinal cord injury. He has no ventilator-free breathing time. He uses the ventilator to breathe through the tracheostomy at night, and during the day he uses a mouthpiece for supported breaths with the tracheostomy opening capped.
Learning how to perform GPB will provide Greg an option for safe reliable autonomous ventilation.
