I was not ready for the “Questlords arise, fight ‘til we die, for the honour, the glory, the pride. Ride on the wind, and hail to the king, when the Questlords of Inverness ride.” It was awesome

I love how they've interwoven a fantasy universe with unicorns and dark wizards with actual places in Scotland. Questlords of Inverness Ride, Unicorn Invasion of Dundee, Siege of Dunkeld, etc. I'm a fan of Rhapsody / Rhapsody of Fire, ever since I heard "Emerald Sword" and I can recognise a lot of similarities between that kind of power metal and Gloryhammer.

Then the Questlords of Inverness arrived

William wallace was the lowland rebellion. Andrew de moray was the highlands, coming from avoch, my home village just about 20 min drive from inverness. The two joined forces for the war of independence. :-)

Angus is only the prince in the 2nd and 3rd album but it refers to hoot as long throughout both and is in my opinion who the three albums were actually about. Just from angus' point of view.

There are two quests, the one described in Tales From the Kingdom of Fife is that of Angus McFife I saving Fife from Zargothrax’s undead unicorn army in 992, while Apocalypse 1992 describes Angus McFife XIII trying to save the intergalactic empire of Fife from Zargothrax in 1992 while legends from beyond the galactic terror vortex is Angus XIII tracking Zargothrax to an alternate universe in the past where he must defeat him and save an alternate Fife.

I love that Inverness is a 40k people town just like my town.
