Another awesome review Sootch00. I do really like the triggers on the Gen 5 Glocks a lot. I got to rent the Glock 45 and i was pretty impressed of the trigger and accuracy. I just can't decide on the Glock 45 or the Glock MOS Gen 5 19. As always long live the republic Sir.

i cant decide if i want the 17 or 19 mos. i keep leaning towards the 19. original plan was the 34 since they now dont have the lightening cut on top of the slide

Why not get a 19 lower? The uppers fit just fine. Those "gen 5.5" improvements are pretty sweet though.

You have to buy the Trijicon mounting kit. The kit comes with the sealing plate and smaller screws needed to mount the RMR to the Glock MOS adapter plate. This kit does not come with the RMR. Do not use the screws that come with the RMR. They are too long and will not work. Wish he would have mentioned this in the video.

Glock should offer this with an RMR installed from the factory with raised co-witness iron sights like Sig does.

Just brought my G19 Gen 5 home, this is the first tutorial I’ve watched, very informative thank you!

So far, I’ve been really impressed! I think Glock is actually listening.

KSGunGuy I’ll believe they’re listening when they eliminate that stupid(half moon cut) g5 g19 grip completely and replace all standard G19 grips moving forward with the g19 mos grip.

Thanks for the tip when using the red dot dont look for the dot, Just focus like your aiming regular and you'll find the dot. Helped a ton! I wasn't too fond of the red dots on pistols and now I love them!

Just picked up a G19 Gen 5 MOS yesterday with night sights. Thing is sweet

Don I was able to get my gen5 19 mos 10/3/2018 . Of course right out of the box flawless . Magpul mags no problem. My opinion glock got it right . Very pleased they continue to listen to us . I was considering a after market slide cut for rmr no need now . Saved me $350 . Which with that savings got me into a quality rmr . Just like you I feel right at home with this new glock , actually better with improvements made . Thanks for all you do , with quality content on the tube and others .

Gilbert Torres I love my G19 Gen 5 MOS but I also own a P10c I’m with you there I’m looking forward to P10s “OR” to me the P10F is awkward grip being 19+1 but I don’t have giant hands. I will say for the money if I were recommending to someone you get more for your money with CZ P10 any model over Glock as they come with better sights and trigger out of box is great. Can’t argue with Glock aftermarket support though if your into modding Glock is the way to go.

Xs big dots don’t hang off the end. Also, you can shoot the gun without co-witness and if the optic goes out you can still shoot accurately through it. Sage Dynamics has a good video explaining how, by lining up the optic frame with the target, pretty cool.

I ordered mine from buds on Friday, should be getting it sometime this week. I've probably watched this video at least 6 times since Friday haha I'm just so excited! 😁

Normally when I buy a new Glock, the first thing I do is install a 3.5# Ghost trigger and night sights. Well, I wanted the MOS, so I’m not worried about the night sights, I have my RMR optic. But I’m not changing the trigger, I am awestruck by how much better this trigger is than any others stock Glock I have ever had. I installed a Holosun, went out and put up a target, fired a few shots to dial it in from 7 yards, and then proceeded to make one big hole with all my shots in the bull’s-eye the target. I am very, very impressed with this weapon; Glock is getting better and better all the time.

Just got one! I'm thrilled

Glock is awesome, always have been and always will be. Love Glock, 19X, Glock 17 and 19. Also the full size Glock 45acp. Looks like I have another Glock to save up for. Awesome video thanks for the information.

Great review, decided to grab the g19. Have a holosun for it, but I really like how the optic plate and screws are nice an flush with the slide still. Plan to shoot it with and without optic, a nice minor feature. Great gun.

I believe they also introduced the Glock 35 Gen5 MOS FS.

I have always suffered from glock knuckle and with this model it is no different. I wear a size medium glove. Broke it in today with 400 rounds and a clear visible and feelable(doubt that's a word) indentation on my middle finger was there. Aside from that, I love the damn thing. 4.5 stars

Great Review. Holosun SCS for the 17/19 is fantastic. Sites will colocate because the base of the SCS is made to fit in the MOS cutout.

I got my G19 gen 5 MOS a couple days ago, I like it. Can't wait to put a couple hundred more rounds through it. I put about a 100 through it the first day.

Great video, one thing not mentioned or overlooked by many is the room between guard and trigger on Glocks is almost across the board larger than other striker fired pistols. This is vital for those who carry and wear gloves in cold weather. We've already had at least two accidental shots by law enforcement blamed on gloves. Regardless of your gun, please train with the gloves you'll wear. Thugs/punks/muggers don't take winter off and often get most desperate before Christmas.

The 34 received the same updates. I love my new gen 5 34 mos fs.

Very nice piece. Love Glocks, damn good fighting pistol.

I just got a Glock 45, and I love it. I now think I want an MOS slide, so I'll buy a Gen 5 MOS model 19, change the slides, and have the full size frame with the 19MOS slide.

My Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS with RMR is my favorite Glock. I believe that my Glock 45 MOS with RMR has now moved into the number 1 position.

Awsome info! Enjoyed the review. Just something I heard you mention and figured I'd mention it. You mentioned the factory sights and not being able to Co whiteness. With the red dot don't try to. I personally can not explain why but it will cause a headache trying to.

I have a trusty G19 Gen3. None of the new gen's did anything for me...until THIS one. I may finally take the leap, get this and add an Olight mini, Vortex Viper, and edc it.

My new G17 gen 5 with the stock upgrades is hands down the best shooting pistol I've ever owned.

I pretty much just watch you and Nutnfancy. You don't trash anyone and you give an honest review. He does the same.

Ok now this is what I've been waiting for. A g19 without finger grooves

I've developed a real love of Glock handguns over the years. I used to consider Glock junk but once I owned one it really grew on me; I'm still waiting for funds for a red dot sight like Holosun or RMR which puts the price around $1000- wew! I'll stick with iron sights for now.

Finally, they pay attention and added serrations and killed the front strap cutout. If the price isn’t overpriced for their factory night sights, might pick one up over the VP9SK

Sootch00, I am waiting on Glock to come out with the Gen X MBS (Multi-Barrel System)... A single handgun will arrive with two barrels, a 9mm and 40 S&W. A second model would include barrels for the 10mm and 45 acp..... I said it first on the Sootch00 channel. 😁

Since I am a left eye dominate shooter even though I am right handed (I usually shoot with my left hand) I am so glad they Glock finally came out with the Gen 5 that is ambi for left handed shooters and they got rid of those dang finger grooves. I have wanted a Glock Model 40 MOS in 10mm since it has come out and will put a comp on it with a Lone Wolf 6.1 threaded barrel, so I am holding out until the HOPEFULLY come out with other calibers like the 10 mm in the Gen 5. I know that they are taking their sweet time rolling out other models. Yes they have the G34 MOS, but I want the G40 MOS for hunting, protection (bear and humans) and just a fun big gun to shoot. I heard a rumor that with the 2 pin design in the Gen 5 that it won't be able to take the pressures of the 10mm, but I hope that is incorrect and they are just rolling out select models in 9mm and will eventually get to 45 and 10mm. Great review as always Don, thanks again and yes they do need a bigger box, that is why I made a range box for my S&W M&P Pro C.O.R.E. in 40 S&W.

Thanks for the review. If I may add to your review please include some info on: Lights for low/no light (got to see what your shooting) and how the red dot does with holsters. Reviews without those are not up to date with tactical and legal issues. I am not bashing sootchOO. He does very good reviews. Just adding what I consider important, particularly cause I'm looking at the 19/17 MOS with intent to buy.

The screws that came with my rm06 wouldn’t work. I had to get the trijicon back plate and the screws that came with it worked great on my 19 Gen5 MOS FS

Would you take an MOS and buy suppressor sights and a threaded barrel or get the new Springfield XDM threaded OSP? Kinda going back and forth. I’d prefer a PPQ Q4 over both but it doesn’t allow for co-witness.

kevin Johnson 😂 it is funny how every Glock hater has to make it known to the world. Also every gun they like is a “Glock Killer” 🤦🏼‍♂️ I’m no Glock fanboy,I’m a fan of good firearms regardless of brand I usually carry Glock or CZ predominantly. I’ve never seen a gun that was perfect in every way that’s because we all have different preferences. That being said I cannot comprehend how anyone could look at a Glock and not appreciate it as a good firearm, it’s ok to like different brands and not be a hater just saying 🙌🏻

I just got a G17 Gen5 M.O.S here in KY, must have been Cali bound because it came with 3 10 round mags.

I purchased the G19 MOS Gen 5 last weekend and put a Vortex Venom on it. Normally I change out the trigger, sights, and barrel on my Glocks. On this G19 I will keep the barrel in it for now as I found it very accurate. The trigger is soft and mushy till it hits the wall with a crisp break. It be changed out later. The gun overall is a pleasure to shoot and very accurate out of the box. However, Glock needs to step out and start updating the other calibers. Love to see a 45 in a kind of a G19X format.

I'm new to the RMR idea so I have a few questions. One, does the weight change on the slide potentially effect reliability in any way? Also, is Loctite necessary when installing an RMR? Thanks in advance.

They now make trijicon HD’s specifically for the MOS models, which makes the rear sight not hang off the back of the slide.

I'm falling in love with the G17 gen 5 MOS's but damnit it all my holsters aren't for 19s and are rounded off in the front so a 17 wont fit.

So serious when you shoot my man....Cracks me up lol

I just got a new Glock45 Gen5 and love it. Do people mostly want a MOS for target shooting and carry outside the waistband ? It seems like it would be hard to conceal carry.

I like the improved G19 MOS. I'm glad it doesn't have the internet ninja cut.

closest ive ever come to wanting a glock. I think ill still wait for CZ's rmr P10c. just preference

Is there some kind of spacer you can get to put in the gap left in the front/back of the red dot on the plate? I guess you could just cut a thin line of rubber to fit in there.

One thing I wish was that the rmr was able to mount directly to the slide and not an adapter plate. It would make the rmr sit lower and possibly co witness with standard height sights.

This is what the Gen 5 SHOULD have been from the start. Simple upgrades, no front cut because it feels like a chunk of your grip is missing. The RMR cut out is awesome to have regardless if you want to actually put one on.

Good review like so many other reviews you make. The glock Gen5 19 MOS, I have read that Glock re did the ejector so the rounds wouldn't hit the optic, how interesting they did this, why didn't they re-do the ejector for years when people were getting hit in the face with ejected rounds, this went on for the Gen 3 and 4's, I know I sold them because I wouldn't put up with the problem, so Glock really didn't make improvements when needed. I haven't read anything about the Gen 5 hitting people in the head so maybe it's been fixed. I may just purchase a Gen 5 19 MOS once I see that's no problem.

The rmr needs the mounting screw kit for the mos with the shorter screws it’s like 15-20 bucks
