Thanks for the cleaning tips plus... You really made that reassembly look easy. I think I’ll give it a try!

I will field strip and clean my pistols after each trip to the range and roughly once a month for the ones that don't get out often. I don't typically completely disassemble mine, but I will after putting enough rounds down range. My 1911s will generally get fairly generous amounts of clp compared to the others, but as others have said, cleaning my guns is part of the shooting experience. I find it very enjoyable and relaxing which is why I have also been looking into building some pistols. I am currently building an AR15 pistol, but winter is here and the motorcycle is hibernating so I need to fill the time. Great video. I may have to try Rand products when it comes time to restock.

I completely agree with you Christopher! Maintenance is part of the experience and I think it's kind of therapeutic. I think you'll really like the Rand stuff. Excellent quality. Thank you and cheers!
Great inside look at some Glock guts, which I learned even more in-depth from my Polymer80 G19 build, just be careful with Assembly/Disassembly videos. Other gun channels have gotten strikes just for something as simplre as taking down or reassembling guns. Better safe then sorry! I’ve never heard of the Rand products before, but will definitely check them out. I usually use Breakthrough’s Battleborn Oil and solvent, but it never hurts to check out new brands. Thanks for another great video!

Yeah, we'll see how this goes. Tried not to advertise what I was doing in an effort to evade the YT folks, lol. Rand is definitely worth a look. I tried and reviewed the Breakthrough solvent last year and found that the solvent didn't get the job done. Maybe I was doing it wrong, who knows. Thank you and cheers brother!

Those bastages @ KZread are ridiculous!! Yeah the solvent is “usable” but I use CLP solvent too, and I strongly doubt you did anything wrong. 😉

Me too Steve. I think it’s a good idea to eliminate some issues the first times shooting. Thank you and cheers!
Any problems with the npvd coating on the 19x? Just picked one up I just don't know if most clp products are safe on that coating
Excellent video without all the macho-man, look at me stuff.
KS.. Great cleaning video.. Question?? Is there a class you can take to teach someone like myself how to field strip firearms like glock, sig, s&w, I do very basic cleaning to my firearms. I'm afraid if i field strip my firearms all the way down i'll screw something up. You make it look so easy. Great Video like always.. Cheers

Well, if you own that gun first of all read the manual and Make sure to understand it completely. Then watch a video on fieldstrip of that specific gun. Cleaning and oiling is more or less on every gun the same. And don't worry about braking something, handguns are made to fieldstrip without tools and they go apart and together in just one possible way. Just be 100% sure to keep all the ammunition out of reach.

Thank you Anthony! There are armorers courses but I’ll be honest with you... I just learned by doing and watching others. Glocks are a great place to start because there are very few parts and only one actual tool needed. There are good tutorials out there on KZread to help guide you. I may do the disassembly at some point to complete the circle but I’d say just dive in. Cheers!
I'm oiling every part that is somewhat moving after every time on the range. It is probably overkill. But who cares, I love to clean my gun, it is a part of the shooting experience. Some folks say, that a gun is their tool that has simple to function, but I'm not earning any money with a gun like my other tools.

A little extra oil is just fine! Just be careful not to get any in the firing pin channel. It can cause flashing and also quick carbon buildup, leading to malfunctions. Thank you and cheers!
Hi I recently got this and was gonna put a red dot and it and well… let’s just say it didn’t work out and now I have the slide and bar and the frame our separate and a mystery piece idk what to do there is not a lot of information or people to talk to about this
Rand isn't a bad CLP. A tad pricey $$$ 💰... I use Froglube & sometimes Ballistol on my firearms, knives. 👍.... non toxic, no harsh fumes or odors, prevents rust....

I haven’t tried Frog Lube but the Rand products work very well. Thank you and cheers!
I kinda over lubricate my guns. I cringe when I see KZreadrs fire brand new weapons without lubricating them first, but I understand why they do it. Gr8 vid. 🔫

Can I just use rand clp only for entire gun for cleaning and lubing?
Where did you get the American flag trigger?
Why start with it tooken apart??
May I suggest to use some sort hand/finger protection. Latex, rubber or my favorite nitrile gloves are a few that are as cheap as beans. They make work a bit more clumsy but not by much. Who knows for certain if the chemical content of all these cleaners and lubes will eventually cause negative effects when used for many years. Some sort of ventilation is also a good idea.

I may no money from any company I work with and say as much on video so I'll thank you to not make assumptions. As for Rand, that person that made one little offhand comment on a livestream was fired immediately. I'd say Rand is doing the right thing. Food for thought.
