Just bought Gen.5 G17 MOS. I prefer it overall to older gens, even my range instructor liked it more and said the trigger is much better than in previous gens. Finger grooves work for some people, for me those do not work, so it's up to you really which one to pick. If you're gonna swap the trigger and everything else then gen 4, otherwise gen 5 works well even as stock.

I just picked up a gen 4 for 419 today can't wait to put rounds down range with it I've never owned a Glock always heard good things about them

Glad Glock got rid of that stupid cut out on the grip. My Glock 19 Gen 5 also has front serrations and see the performance difference between Gen 3, Gen 4, or Gen 5.

I'm left handed and it's the one thing that drove me nuts about the glock, not have an ambi-slide stop

Bought a Gen 5 yesterday. $540. Took it out an shot it. Gun runs beautifully. I went from a Gen 1 17 to this so it was a dramatic change. But I ended up having to re-adjust the rear site because the pistol shot hard left. At 10 yards it was 6 inches to the left.

Hope u kept the gen1.. it’s likely the way you’re shooting it, google glock low left and ul see tons of complaints.

Good. I have a gen2 21 with 5k rounds thru it, havent cleaned it. Finally stopped running after the 20yr old mag broke some plastic off it and jammed the barrel up enough to cause an FTF

I like the gen 5 best. No finger grooves, & nice texturing. I don't like the ambidextrous slide lock however.

Yea it’s defiantly a sweet gun. Forgot to mention about the slide bevel in the nose but that’s minimal.. I just have too much $ in my gen4 and it works w my Roni I keep in the truck. I’ll probably take off the finger grooves thou.

Isn’t the QLS just an optional retention system? Thought u could buy that for any of their holsters. I usually run Gcode w RTI hanger. QDs to my MTV, leg rig or the car mount.

Yeah the gen 4 is a cleaner look it’s actually the first glock I’ve owned I’ve had ruger smith and Wesson but since I’ve had my Glock I’ll never go back they hold there value quality is great!

The Gen 5 is stupid. The half moon cut, and extra slide release makes me want to vomit. I’ll stick with the Gen 4.

Honest opinion cause apparently everyone has bias opinions an a overall answer I shoot very accurate with the glock 19 literally my only problem with the 5 is the rear sight it’s literally not lined up at all but idc what yall think the two tone on gen 5 looks great in daylight to me

taylor fisher my Gen 4 barrel works just fine in my Gen 5 sooo, if you’re specificity asking about the Glock 19, I can say you’ll be just fine. Glock 17, different story.

The install is the same. It’s really just an OEM bar they polished and a minus connector with custom shoe. Glock warranty is 5yrs, idk if it would affect or not.

No I didn’t speak on it, glock has a trigger safety, firing pin safety and drop safety. The MHS submission had a thumb safety but there is none on the civilian models.

I bought the 4 I'm not happy with it at all terrible trigger worst ever .the grip is awful as well a magwell and sleeve took care of it now it's scrunched my fingers together I wanted to see why it's always considered the best so far the worst of all of my guns it will go to the drawer of shame. Canik comes back out thank God I didn't sell it .

Yea I’m not a huge Glock fan either, I run mostly CZs. Try the P10c maybe. It’s got a good trigger, not quite as good as the canik but good grip and angle. I personally carry hammer fired myself with the CZ75 series PCR or P01 etc.

seems like glock was determined to ruin a perfect design. that gen 5 is ugly.
