It was expected for Ancelotti to win the league. He has a very strong team that would not fail with or without him. For Girona it was unexpected to reach 3rd place and the players are certainly not so strong. So Michel did a way more fantastic job than Ancelotti. I agree with you that almost nobody from Barcelona deserved the awards - they played worse than they can. But players of Girona and manager certainly deserved.
