GLOBAL VIPASSANA PAGODA is a meditation Centre based in Gorai, Mumbai. A day trip to Global Vipassana Pagoda made us realize more about our country's diversity. Designed in Myanmar style, Vipassana Center attracts a lot of tourists all across the world. The meditation hall has a seating capacity of over 8000 people and is the largest dome structure built without any supporting pillars.
It took almost 11 years to build the structure, no cement or any brickwork was used and with the interlocking technology, they built the complete structure. Intricate carvings and designs all across the walls and pillars will surely enlighten your soul. Free 1-day to 10-day Vipassana meditation courses are conducted in this center.
