I read that Lemon and some of the other actors referred to this screen play as, "Death of an "effen" salesman." 😄 So true.

Saw this as a play in SFO and it was just as engaging as the film. Mamet sure knows his way around biting dialogue. As Ricky Roma says, ""have you ever taken a dump that made you feel like you slept for a year"" !

If you’ve never done sales wether professional or personal… and worked for a cut throat corporate company, you have no idea what’s going on in this scene for the end of month sales quota.. if you have, that is, worked as a professional sales person, be it Big Corporate or the fringe like MLM, then this scene is uncomfortably personal and real… fk this commentary, he’s never played the game before in his life.

I read that Pacino and Lemon were the first two chosen by the producers. And they actually came in and read for the other parts to be cast...unheard of for actors of that caliber to do that.
