Glen Affric - A Landscape Worth Restoring

We’re delighted to have filmed and produced a film celebrating 60 years of forest restoration in Glen Affric, a glen that could be at the core of an unprecedented collaboration between landowners and communities to create an unparalleled forest corridor stretching from Scotland’s east to west coast.

I’m an ancestor of this place. I can trace my ancestors back here through 7 generations. I hope to visit one day.

This is an incredible film. One of my favourites. I now have 10 Scots Pine saplings coming on in pots in my garden

@@Nitka022 I'm not so sure yet. I am going to keep up-potting them for a few years, and then I'm hoping that by then I can acquire a bit of land in the Highlands to do a small veg farm, and I would plant them on that land. I also got 10 English Oak saplings at the same time. So it's a 20 tree forest in the making! And.. if they get too big for pots before that day, I will transplant them into an existing natural woodland near my current home.
