Rachel knows that thier voices go together, she smiled at some parts, it looks more of a smirk, and at 3:04 she was like 'wait let me show you something' and hit that note and Mercedes face was like 'Damn girl got that note' and realizes 'ok this girl is ok'

Say what you want, but Mercedes and Rachel were the best in Glee club, female wise. I can’t necessarily say who is better due to their different genres(Mercedes is soul and Rachel is Broadway). Instead of having the duets be Finn and Rachel, I honestly think it would’ve been better as Mercedes and Rachel. Think about it 🤔

B MOORE Agreed. Shuester was dead set on making Finn the star, but Santana, Mercedes, and Rachel were by far the most talented. Imagine them belting out all sorts of numbers by Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, or even just girl groups like Fifth Harmony. They would’ve killed it.

I think they mean ironic as this song wouldn’t exist the way we know it without Idina Menzel who Rachel would obviously know as she’s such a Broadway lover and yet her mom somehow looks exactly like her? Mixing a fictional world with our real one definitely crates these kinds of moments. I think ironic is a fair word :)

Best bits have to be Sue's face when Rachel and mercedes put their arms around each other she's like "what the heck is this?!" Lol plus Rachel and mercedes pointing at the other going "what about her? Pick her!" Is adorable xxx

I absolutely love when Rachel gets sassy because of the competition, like in this performance or in her duet with Charice, I wish Glee stayed like this until the end :(

One of the most glorious moments of GLEE was when they allowed Rachedes to truly compete with each other- only to realize that it wasn't worth the hate, because they're both exceptional and there's room for both of them at the top. When both ladies realize this at 3:07, they smile, laugh, and embrace and congratulate each other (leaving only Sue to wonder what happened). There was never enough of this kind of love on the show.

So weird ! I saw an interview where they had Glee members and when the reporter asked WHO most resembles her role, Kevin and Matthew answered Lea.. Matthew tried to justify himself by saying that he was saying this in the sense that she is “a strong woman who knows what she wants” and in the same interview Kevin talking about Lea, said "Rachel... um Lea" it was so fluid 💀

Mu well Rachel was partially written with Lea in mind ( in terms of determination etc), but Kevin and Lea are actually good friends lol so she can’t be that bad. She had quite a few good friends from that cast. I think Naya, Amber and Lea were all divas and that’s why they weren’t super close, but they didn’t hate each other or anything, they just didn’t hang out off of set, unlike Lea, Jenna, Dianna, Chris, Matt, Cory, Mark, Darren, Chord, etc

There's a full shot belting battle and Quinn is just looking at Finn's hair.

Honestly, I think that Rachel and Mercedes were really similar. Both knew they were stars, and were extremely competitive. Both wanted the spotlight, and hated it when they didn't get it. Both were insanely talented (the two most talented in my opinion), but they were also really caring people.
