Actually Will just picks kids to favor, Rachel and Finn were in no way vulnerable. Even when he cared for the actually vulnerable ones, his favorites were always put first. Like Santana being outed, it was partially Finn’s fault but nothing happened to him, while Santana (the victim) got suspended for slapping him for outing her. Or how about Rachel sending Sunshine to a crackhouse just so she can get all the solos

She's not evil, she's brutally honest and gives tuff love. Sometimes being brutal is the ultimate kindness. She treats everyone the same, she calls out everyone's b.s and hypocrisy, she fights for what she believes in, she doesn't sugar coat the truth, she has shown she has a big heart and protects the vulnerable, Becky. She is the only reason why I bother watching these clips and she is HILARIOUS!!!

Yes, the only actor who doesn't memorize their lines is Johnny Depp recently. That was only after he bought a device that cost over $100,000 that feeds him lines in his ear so he doesn't have to memorize it.

@@My_eyes_hurt Well she forces the cheerios to take on extremely unhealthy diets to the point of them getting disorders, makes them think that popularity is the only thing that's important in highschool, is very racist, outwardly mocks the kids, drugs and blackmails the principle and does a lot of other illegal acts just to take down a kids club because she doesn't like the teacher who runs it. Whatever issues she has with Will should remain with him and should not ever have involved the kids or other teachers. She's a great character but you can't say that she doesn't have a seriously bad streak that should definitely have also been called out.

True, the band is so ignored.

I once invented a character for a fanfiction I never wrote who was the first member of club in the Glee Clubs entire history to actually ask Brad the Piano man if he knew a song and brought the along the music just in case. Sometimes I wish it really happened. Other times I wish we knew the name of at least one band member, or at least gave them a line. This is why I always stay in my seat or at least in the theatre until the orchestra has finished playing whenever I see a show.

Jason Le it’s not really just about the trophies and titles though. He portrayed the glee club as a place of acceptance and expressing yourselves but Rachel and Finn were the main people being given an opportunity to do so at every point in competitions. There was an unfair balance despite all the other major talents in glee club.

Jason Le I was talking about the majority performances in competitions, where it was predominantly Rachel and Finn. Remember when Kurt displayed his interest in performing defying gravity and Mr Schue literally said Rachel would be fine for the female lead. And the time where they split the role of Maria between Mercedes and Rachel even though Rachel herself could not admit that she was better then Mercedes. Most public performances outside of the glee club room showcased predominantly Rachel and Finn’s talents in comparison to everyone else, who were either background or belting out the final notes most of the time.

Jason Le I have emphasised the fact that it was the MAJORITY of competitions where they did copious amounts of songs and yet Rachel and Finn sang pretty much all of them as the leads. Mr Schue only gave Kurt the opportunity to audition once Kurt’s Dad came in to complain, and it’s actually a good point that you made about it not being Mr Schue in charge of the school play, it shows that pretty much the majority of faculty babied Rachel, she gained even more of an ego through always being placed on such a pedestal, although Mr Schue definitely took the lead role in feeding it.

The black kid's name no-one could remember who you brought to a win at sectionals and ignored him into oblivion. Yeah, Matt was too underrated. They could've made him great but they made him a useless character, along with Rory, Sugar, Lauren, Joe, and Brody.

Sue read him for FILTH. I agree with some of the things she said about him, I never quite realized but now that I'm older Mr. Schue does have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with the glee club. He just deflected what she said at the end and I feel like he knew some of her points were lowkey true. I think a lot of his antics with the club go back to him wanting to relive his high school glory days.

Throughout my re-watch of this show I have had only one thought and that is: The New Directions could've easily won any competition with Santana or Mercedes or Artie or anyone who wasn't Rachel. They had so much talent in that club and time and time again Will chose to give every single song to Rachel. She's a good singer, but she's a horrible person and she should've been kicked out a long time ago

I think its strange because that entire rant by sue was her telling him off for being a bad teacher and role model for the kids. All he takes from it is that she hates the glee club and that he should make it a perminate club. But, like.... she wasn't saying the glee club was bad, just that he was horrible at running it. He so easily ignores all of the horrible things he has done to his students.

After scrolling through this entire comments section I've only seen one comment about the fact that Will has been rubbing pee into his scalp for three years. I'm a little surprised.

People like to say that Santana’s rant to Kurt is the best rant/insult of all time but imo this scene is so much better. This didn’t just insult Will, but it insulted the show and called it out for the joke that it became.
