I like them both because they both are the back drop for equality
This scene really move me and she sing so amazing!
this always makes me cry. one, im a trans guy and it hits close to home. two, the origin of the song and the transpersons choir reminds me of the black trans women murdered in 2019 (AT LEAST 22 trans women of color killed in 2019 alone). both meanings combining in such a prevalent issue. there have already been more trans women of color killed this year. if 22 doesnt seem like a whole lot, think of this. trans ppl make up ~6% of the US population.... lets say half of that is trans women... so ~3% of the US population...now subtract the white trans women... thats a really small number.

To me even 1 person would be too much..no one should lose a life for being their true selves! And P.S you're amazing. I can't begin to even know what life would've been like to realise you were born into the wrong gender, and then everything that comes after that. I hope you have experienced kindness and have support. I wish you the best and and every bit of love and kindness in this world

Never watch this after applying your eye makeup as you’ll just have to redo it! This and Chris’ performance of “I have nothing in Whitney Houston’s original key are my two favorite songs from Glee!

I LOVE UNIQUE
just stumbled on this randomly and i'm sobbiiiiiiiiiiiiiing. this show was ridiculous, especially the last season, but oof!!! this performance really packs a punch
Wow what a song. Such a powerhouse!
Not gonna lie, that scene almost made me cry
i literally got goosebumps and broke out into tears
This is more important today then even back then.
As vozes mais poderosas que te emociona, que te arrepia, que te faz ter forças a dele,Mercedes ,e Santana! 🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Oh my goodness the last note? 😮❤🔥 Chills
So many chills ❤️❤️
Any Gleeks out there that knew that Matthew Morrison (Will Scheuster) was in the original cast of Hairspray on Broadway..... OG "Link Larken"!!! He sang this every night in the show doing backup for "Motormouth Mabel" in the 2nd act. One of the most powerful 11:00 numbers ever written.
Who's here after Alex won the Tony Award for Shucked?!
They should done more hairspray songs in glee !!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
PERFECT! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I always love this song in Hairspray, Unique make me love more. It's a shame that in Italian version of Hairspray (not the movie, live version) adaptors changed the sense of the song, put a reference to "a men who will free us!" We Italians always must put the "providence man" idea everywhere! 😖😖😖😖👿👿👿
I just love this so much.
I have loved this actor since they were on the Glee Project!!!
this always hit different
I know where lv been was the most beautiful and powerful song in glee Alex Newell was truly amazing
everytime watch get mysty eyed
the chior of trans people always makees me so happy.
This rendition I Know where I been by Alex Newell should be the theme song for gays, blacks, asian, Jews, Indians, Chinese, etc It has alot meaning for all groups.
There's a light in the darkness Though the night black as my skin There's a light burning bright showing me the way But I know where I've been There's a cry in distance It's a voice that comes from deep within There's a cry asking why I pray the answer's up ahead yeah 'Cause I know where I've been There's a road we've been travellin' Lost so many on the way But the riches will be plenty With the price, the price we had to pay There's a dream in the future There's a struggle that we have yet to win And there's pride in my heart 'Cause I know where I'm going, yes I do And I know where I've been, yeah There's a road that we must travel There's a promise that we must make Oh the riches will be plenty Oh the dream in the future Oh the struggle we must win Use that pride in our heart To lift us up Lord knows i know Where I've been

Y’all see TS Madison
My friend I have a question for you What are your opinions about making Sheldon trans 🏳️⚧️. As a trans man i think it was a great idea to have him be Trans but I think that the way they did it’s was a little misleading. They portray it as all you have to do is change your name and and get top surgery and that’s it. They don’t go into detail about the amount of pressure that can come with being trans. It can really take a toll on you mental and physical pain you go thought as a trans person. What are your thoughts Thank you my friend Liam Rawlins
Who is the lead singer please?

im not surprised that they got all these trans people, im surprised they got all these show choir geeks
I feel rather ashamed of myself. A few days ago, my friends invited me to a drag show, in which one of their cousins was participating. I declined and said I had to work all day, but they found me at the bakery, two hours after the drag show. They realized I had lied, and when they asked why, I admitted I just didn't really want to go to a drag show. That I found it...kinda disturbing and discomforting for men to wear dresses and makeup. They said they could forgive me for lying to them, because all friends, at some point, lie but can still redeem themselves. They, however, could NOT forgive me for disliking the idea of men in women's clothes. They said that makes me a horrible, judgmental bigot. But look, I care about people and like to help them, but they said being transphobic eliminates all that and shows what I truly am. I...guess I'm transphobic. I don't feel comfortable talking to men in women's stuff, let alone befriending them, but I wouldn't be mean to them. I would be respectful. If a transgender was being bullied or attacked, I would step in and stop the abuser, especially with violence. I may not fully agree with guys dressing like girls, but I would definitely help and protect them. I've always thought that what you think of certain people doesn't matter as much as how you treat them. So yeah, I do think it's...kinda wrong to dress like a female when you're a male...but I would definitely be polite to them and stand up for them. Or is that not enough? Does my "transphobia" make me a bad person? A biased jackass?

it’s difficult, maybe impossible to change your thoughts but your actions and words are what matters; respecting others and treating them well even if you don’t personally like their lifestyle is all anyone can ask that being said though it’s really not that bad to see a man in a dress, next time either say no thanks or suck it up

you can always change your thoughts through simply learning more. obviously this performance isn’t drag since everyone here is trans (drag queens aren’t trans women, they’re just men who like to dress as dramatised women). i would say that you are a bigot but that can always change. it’s not your fault that you feel this way since society instilled those thoughts in you but you can make the decision to overcome your biases and be better than that.
@johnrainsman6650

@@user-wf1ug9tv4r what’s the point of saying it isn’t my fault if you’re gonna call me a bigot who should work on his biases? I didn’t say I was proud of them. You sound like my ex-friends, who judge me for ONE thing that blocks the rest of the traits they used to like about me. Why didn’t you just say “yes, you are a disgusting bigot and you deserve no friends you pathetic loser?” Why didn’t ya?
@jakebastian6726

@@user-wf1ug9tv4r Don't ya think that's a bit harsh? _"I would say that you are a bigot"_ and _"you can make the decision to overcome your biases and be better than that."_ I mean, that does kind of defeat the purpose of saying it's *not* his fault. Besides, he cares about trans and would protect them, and isn't even proud of his...let's call it "discomfort," not biases. As far as I'm concerned, John needs a little more patience and understanding, not direct un-sugarcoated feedback.
Nnn
I think this would have come across better had he performed as a man what's more beat down then the Black American male the fact that they turned it into a sideshow made it less powerful
