Mercedes embodies what it really means to be an artist here. Art is about collaboration and about mixing your talents with others to create something you're all proud of. Even the "solo" artists have an entire team that helps them and a good leader in any industry gives credit where it's due and isn't so insecure that they can't share the spotlight. This is why Mercedes was always going to make it.

The last two seasons of Glee really derailed from where the show was going in the first four, and at the time was confusing to so many fans. However, in both seasons there were still major hits. This is definitely one of them.

Honestly, I wasn't really into Glee, I only watched the first few episodes in Season 1 because of Quinn (and Puck), but when I saw Santana & Mercedes' duet in 'The Boy Is Mine', baam! I watched it religiously because of their voices and hoped the producers would give more solos or duet for Santana (as well as Mercedes, I really love her 'Bust Your Window' version). These two are definitely my fav female voices in Glee. And you see what I mean? I wasn't that impressed with Rachel's voice (yes she can sing and is talented, but not everyone loves Broadway), on the other hand, Santana really blew me away the moment she opened her mouth and began to sing. And that's the x factor that would've made Santana Lopez more famous and successful than Rachel Berry in real life.

I did not look at everything either, when I knew that Cory (Finn) was dead, I stopped (Rest In Peace), I also thought I’d see more Santanna & Mercedes duets but by the way, I didn’t see any... I liked this show because it allowed me to identify myself with a character, there were good morals also like the meaning like self-acceptance, accepting differences, friendship,.. when we were young it was cool to see a show like this.
