I saw this musical the other night and it blew me away. It was indescribable, fantastic, phenomenal, I can't explain how much I loved it. The effects were fantastic, the visuals were beautiful, the actors were beyond amazing, and the singing was insanely great. The fact that it's an off-Broadway show right now amazes me, and when it does go on Broadway I cannot wait to see how many Tony's it wins. Plus, then I can buy the soundtrack lol.

I loved the musical numbers and like Matthew Morrison a lot. The kids were great and Kelsey Grammar was wonderful. The story was mostly imagination rather than true.

Its basically in the hype up stage, people see it, tell their friends how awesome the show was(and it was, saw it today) and see it when it's officially out.

Krissynow _ It's in what they call Previews. Kind of like a sneak preview of a movie.

Krissynow _ Shows play in previews before the official opening. What you saw was a preview.

Krissynow _ Previews is where they can still change things...like they added a song to the beginning of the show between the early and later previews and changed a lot of the first act to get it moving more quickly. They test out jokes and change dialogue as needed...they gauge audience responses in previews and adjust accordingly

The music, though . . . seems *so* anachronistic and out-of-sync with the times in which the show is set (I know, "Les Miz" and "Hamilton" do the same thing with great success; saw & loved both!). This just seems like songs from "Once", but set in 1910. Gonna reserve judgment til I see it, based on strong cast and production values, but I don't know . . .

ChucWill ... but Once is the most beautiful wonderful and heartwarming and heart-wrenching musical in existence... I actually just mentioned in another video that Finding Neverland is the best musical I've seen since Once, and since Once I've seen Matilda, Kinky Boots, A Chorus Line, and probably others... I LOVED this musical, it completely blew me away :)

Jack O'Brian If by "he" you mean Matthew Morrison then he does have a Tony nom...for "The Light in the Piazza", I believe. It would be great if he got a Tony nom for this.

Can't stand the pop bend in every Broadway show. It is not what I want to hear when I go to New York. It is Broadway for the masses. I miss Rodgers and Hammerstein, Bernstein, Lerner and Lowe. That is to say intelligence that doesn't cater to the family crowd.

robert roberson Because God forbid there might be Broadway shows the whole family can enjoy that aren't just the same stale old shit. There's nothing wrong with the classics, but quit being a snob and enjoy something new once in a while.

ahen236 believe me if it were new, then I would enjoy it, but it sounds like the same stale stuff that has been going on for the past twenty years. The reason I sighted the people I did is that in their time they were constantly looking for something new. And theatre is not a disney cartoon, if you want family fair there is "children's theatre and puppet shows" I suggest you attend those.

+ahen236 And by the way, having taste and wanting things to be more than mediocre is not being a snob. It is just intelligence!
