100 years says a lot definitely one of the best combines out there

I agree. Gleaner is a combine well worth trying out.

For me the real star of the video was that AGCO tractor on the grain cart. Man! I miss those orange tractors. I really like the way these newer Gleaner combines look and work. I remember that youg guy from the other video. he's great on camera and seems to have a very good handle on things.

My Favorite Brand of Combines..Glad to see you are filming more of them.

What a beautiful machine and it sure does eat up the corn!

What I like best about the Gleaner combines, is their smaller and more compact size. They can get in and out of small fields with far more ease than the big behemoths on the current market. I rode in an R52 once, and it was a pleasure.

I like to see gleaner combines at work😁👍 maybe they look different, but they get the job done nicely👍😉

Gleaners were Allis Chalmers machines when I was a kid. They always had a good reputation.

Grew up riding with dad in an F then he got an L2 then a 94 R72 with the big Deutz and then a 98 R72. I'd love to play with an S series!!!

From running an A2 to a G then to an R40 which we are still using. Simple machines. Easy to work on. Wouldn't own anything else.

Great video. I have become a fan of the Gleaner combine. Moving 5.5 miles per hour combing corn that is pushing some corn out of the field.

They’re running 5.5 mph because they’re running an eight row on a combine that needs a 12 row.

I used a JD7700 Turbo combine with a 215 bean head 35 ac and 643 corn head 14 ac in north central Missouri.

@@bigtractorpower I bought it off of a retired farmer where it sat for 15-20 years. It has been enjoyable (and pricey) getting it back into the field.

Allis Chalmers & Gleaner was really big around us until Allis went out of business. My grandfather said there used to be just as much Allis Chalmers as International and John Deere. When they went out of business most farmers switched to International/ Case IH because they moved into the old dealership. Nearest AGCO dealer now is about 40 miles north of us.

We run a 12 row drago on our S97 it handles it pretty well I hope it is as good of machine as the S 77 it replaced

The S77 is a great combine. The S97 is extra nice. Big cab upgrade.

He also wrong when he said that Gleaner only makes a 35’ Platform Header which is Wrong, Gleaner makes a 40’ Platform Header 25’-40’ Draper Header. So they DO make a Unload Auger that will work with a 40’ Platform, it’s just having that 3’ Unload Auger Extension does help.

Hey just figured out my better 8550 of my two is No.26 of the run of them, so its a 78 the other one is middle of the run so end of 79

it's a 9.8L 7 cylinder sisu engine in the 97 and 98

It can go from 375 to 551 bulge hp? Wow, those turbos ain’t no joke.

New Holland Twin Rotor Combine has the Cleanest Grain Sample Hands Down of ANY Combine Manufacturer that I have been around. BEST Soybean Sample which is why Most Seed Bean Farmers and Manufacturers prefer New Holland Combines. John Deere being the Worst Grain Sample of all of the manufacturers!

No. He graduated a few years ago. When I started BTP KZread 13 years ago he was driving the grain cart tractor which was an AGCO DT160A and his dad was harvesting with a Gleaner R75. Family faring at its best.

Very very little. The S series really have it dialed in.
