I’m glad you gentleman are enjoying the gleaner, I had my reservations about your purchase, but after watching your harvest, and your comparison to the combine. Maybe this review will help other farmers and clear up any issues that would hold them back from making a purchase themselves. I really look forward to your videos cannot wait to see the house building this year. Stay safe and hopefully 2022 will be a good year for you. I was hoping gleaner would have given you more information about the breakdown and what may have caused it to happen. But I also think the 4 yr warranty really helped out in this situation.

Put the camera in the grain tank you will use it all of the time. It great for watching your grain sample with out looking back over your shoulder and you can watch when you run the hopper over.. When the grain covers the camera you will have clear view when you stop and fill your cab storage area. The one on the auger probably will not get used much.

There’s an internal orifice that has to be removed to make a capello fold quicker. The ideal has it too. Takes 10 mins it seem like to do it one way or the other and about 90 seconds when it’s removed.

As a Gleaner engineer from ‘67 to ‘89, loved the review. So much remains the same as the old days. Loved my days with Gleaner, but Deutz bought the company, we’re very bad to work for, and I bailed for construction equipment. Farming in my retirement, would love to own a Gleaner but nearest dealer is 5 hours so I tolerate a different brand.

You might consider placing a camera to help with header hook up. It is a very dusty area but you might find a camera location which you can mate up easier. It would have been nice to have the Gleaner, Claas, John Deere and Case list price/model number. Easy to throw stones when $ aren't in the same ball park.

We only need 13 secs. I just hope chase and burrow don’t shred our terrible secondary. I mean we do have Sorensen after all….. 🥺 If you do beat us good luck and hope you all win the Super Bowl! #ChiefsNation

I've always thought the AGCO engineers should have put a camera on the outlet of the return elevator, so you could see how much grain you were returning. It used to be the perfect way to set the sieves on the conventional models...you would run it hard till you got to cylinder (rotor) capacity, and then close the sieves until you just started to see grain in the return...and that would pretty much be where you needed to get it set.

Being nicer to the corn (or any grain for that matter) isn’t at all shocking. That’s why looking at cutaways and internal combine designs is so fun. Folks should look at what the crops go through then compare, the Gleaner has a very short “in and out” design. The Claas runs crops through everything including the kitchen sink it appears, so they’d definitely be more prone to damage.
