Shouldn’t have confessed, thought it was my fat finger.
Like your "thought process" why you bought the Gleaner. Not everyone has that process - just keep that same color. Profitable farming generally involves evaluating options. Great job especially one handed. Love that Bob cam. Thks for taking the time - keep um rolling.
No matter what combine you bought people wouldn't be happy with choice. To me it's about cost and how well dealership is. Plus cost per hour is big thing
Great job Brian!
Really enjoy the harvest videos !! Thanks!!!
Ty for sharing your day.l learn so much.
That was a sweet reminder, Brian. Thanks.
Thanks Brian! Enjoyed the video!
The auto header height control is a thing of beauty on the Gleaner 👍 especially in corn 🌽.
“It can be done, but it’s tight!” Ahah that’s what she said Brian 😂

Thx for sharing the video. Greatings from Belgium
As always you make great videos and keep doing what you do best working the farm and making videos for us to watch thank you for your hard work and Postings .
Great video Brian, lot of Gleaners around us in North Central Indiana.ran an r52 years ago in wheat, nice combine. Keep the videos coming an have a great summer.
Looks like some pretty good wheat hopefully the calibrations were easy enough to figure out.
Awesome....... I understand why you bought the Gleaner Good description......
That is one good looking Gleaner combine.
Great video Brian!
I always liked Gleaners. They are good looking combine
Glad your farms have some great yields in wheat !!

Great video Brian
The Gleaner chopped the wheat straw into confetti. Impressive threshing, too.
I wasn't a gleaner fan but after seeing you new one I would defiantly consider.
Nice thought. I agree with u there.
All good things here👌
Come the next wet fall that Gleaner will shine . I run a Gleaner and have always been happy with mine specially in wet ground . When the neighbors sinking in the mud I'm running on top .
i love the gleaner. its a work horse. great vlog
Good to see the wheat harvest is taking place, and to see the Gleaner is at it to.Hopefully all works well and that the wheat harvest yields well. Have a happy 4th. Hope you will take a break and celebrate with family.
Nice double in there Brian lol. Glad to hear that Gleaner is pleasantly surprising you. Hope it keeps going like you want it to.
evening brian, nice content again cheers.
The way I see it you buy what suits you cause you are the one that knows what best suits your needs.
Love your opinions of the Gleaner, we have been running gleaner for over 40 years. A lot of farmers aren't willing to give them a chance because they aren't "flashy". On our farm it would cost over 8k $ more a year in fuel alone to run red or green
Perfect!
I ran Gleaners all my life. The F L R50 R62 S67 and some others to name a few. I’ve been Retired now for a number of years now. I think you will find they are the corvettes of combines. They are low cost easy to repair and easy to run at least the ones I had were. They have high capacity if set properly.Your Excelerator rollers are where a lot of the grain is cleaned with the blast of air blowing through them so keep those in good condition. I really enjoy your KZread channel. Your kids are a great asset along with the entire family. You do a great job explaining your operation.
Impressive yields!
Good video!!! Well done!!!

@@BriansFarmingVideos We have small 20 acre plot, neighbor farms the 10 acre field. Sadly most people don't have a clue as to the hard work that is done to feed the world. I am amazed by the technology involved in large scale operations like yours, and have the most heartfelt respect for you folks. Please stay strong and keep sharing those wonderful videos.

You nailed it when you said it is cheaper to repair. On our farm we run a Caseih 8120. I don't even drive anymore when something breaks it is a 6K repair bill.
I am a old shit kicker from Vermont if I am listening write the Gleaner will show it’s true colors in three to four years. Not as handy as some but does a better job and less long run maintenance. Thanks BFF
Enjoy your videos buddy!

Beautiful combines!
Awesome machine 😊👍
Don’t matter what I think you need it’s what y’all need that matters People think you have to have the latest and greatest newest things but there’s farmers out there still farming today with equipment that’s 30 and 40 years old
Had a neighbor who always ran Gleaner and would always out cut or Deere. I hauled all his on farm storage and was always the best quality grain of anyone else. And I used to truck a lot in the winter. I would like to run one some time for sure.
Nice looking machine! As the smell of the cast, I had one a few years ago and I used Febreze and it helped 😂
We farmed in the 70’s and 80’s. We did some custom harvesting with some other farmers for several years. Might be 3 to 4 brands in one field. But at the end of the week our Gleaners we’re the only ones left still rolling them acres. Love me some GLEANERS!!
Great video. It is your money, spend it the way it works des for your farm. I'm am happy that you got a Gleaner, I don't see many of them on KZread.

Been waiting for an appearance by big Mike. Your comment about not using that trailer was entertaining if remember correctly in fall harvest I remember a time when everything including both dump trucks were filled with corn 🤣
Buying a Gleaner is like Buying a Versatile Tractor, They are Cheap, Economical, Productive Machines, and Most Importantly they Work & Get The Job Done! They will also be Priced $100,000-200,000 Cheaper than their Competitors. It’s All about Cost Per Acre.

It's just a machine you know is going to keep going through the harvest without visits from the techs..

Agree 100%. The JD X9 at 900hp seems like you're asking for stuff to break running so much through it. But you could buy 2 new Gleaners for the cost of an x9. Gleaner has always been about simplicity, keeping it light, less stuff to go wrong.
@SirHuddy

@@heatmoon but then you have to have more people, more trucks etc it’s easier to cut down on the amount of machines you have

I used to drive a Gleaner C-II and then a G a long time ago when I was in high school and worked on a custom harvest crew. About the joy thing that is the same is the color and name.
Nice
If you are happy with the Gleaner that's all that matters! It would be interesting to see if the ground holds moisture better where it was combined with the Claas?
I am in JD country down here in NC, I had not even heard of Gleaner for a long time. My granddaddy ran one 30 years ago. We were the only ones around with one.
We normaly dont shoot the editor, and must say good thoughts and reasons for picking the gleaner, i quess time will tell. Thanks for another great video, greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Super series is the coolest looking combine on the market. They look so awesome. After learning about them from Kevins videos from agco, I can't believe more people aren't running them, seems like a no brainer. But I am an A-C fanatic to be fair
To the little working man: you keep wearing your orange vest!! It's a good thing to do so you can be seen when it's crazy busy on the farm. May you and your sisters have a fun summer

Morning thumbs up
Hope you get the rain we gotten 100 miles west of Louisville!
That paddock is next to a road; it better be doin' awesome!
It’d be an interesting video if you went over the cost difference of all the combines you looked at. I enjoy the channel. Thanks for sharing.
Brain,i think the gleaner will be a great combine. We ran those combines,we had a A2,M,M3,all good combines, easy to work on. I know the new models should be so much better.
The gleaner was a score!
“He won’t let me drive the gleaner” haha….guess he wants ya to get all the bugs out so he can just run it
Y'all will be pleased with the Cleaner.... Bottom line at the end of the year will make y'all smile
The farmer I know we where harvesting corn in a gleaner s67 and had it up to 430 bushels of corn, but we where running a 6 row corn header
Somewhere in American agriculture we have lost sight of the simplicity of planting and harvesting. I fear we have over complicated the process with Cost of technology that its breaking the back of the American farm families. The simplicity of things like Gleaner combines and white planters has benefited my farm and family for many years putting black ink on the bottomline! 👍

The fact that Amish still manage to farm without all this technology pretty much proves that you don't need any of it. They farm pretty much the same way my great Grandfather farmed before 1955 when he bought a secondhand Case VAC.
From the front it looks almost like an Ideal, and that is good!

@@BriansFarmingVideos ben a fan long time
I’m sure the transverse rotor would be better for bailing straw, because from the design, it looks like it would be easier.
Nothing runs like a Gleaner !
There are two schools of thought on stalk choppers versus spreaders I preferred choppers residue management it helps with but it takes more maintenance due to wear and tear.... but if it's not a problem then the spreader is fine my experience in rice was residue management and I like the chopper one way too expedite decomposition....less hair pinning when planting
Boy i wished i lived in Ohio!! Instead of below Pittsburgh! Id def haul sum corn for you guyz or grain cart!!💯💯👍🙌🙌 Glad Gleaner running!🤘 Hope AC is in it is good!👍😆🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Plus you can go a little slower if needed for the price difference. Glad your wheat is yielding good.
Living the gleaner dream
Dax is clearly a working man safety first! I like the looks of that Gleaner. Especially when you walk behind it. No lost $$
If the gleaner can handle 40 ft header in 90b plus wheat should be good in corn good buy.Seems good machine.

Welcome to Gods country
Awesome. I’ve done enough combine research apparently. You described those two combine makes like I would’ve. A lot of farms seem to be more about getting it done more than what’s on the ground, what’s all involved in the machine parts wise, what do the parts cost. Blah blah blah, in the end, all things considered the Gleaner is a phenomenal, underrated machine. Oh the Gleaner can be beat in ground speed? Big whoop.(of course I don’t farm so there’s that)
When the Gleaner turns out to be a reliable machine it has been a wise decision to go with . Current prices on a class 6 Claas or Case in mind . On the other hand I thought that Bob was going to use the Gleaner as his combine . Getting older and slowing down a bit and maybe finishing his career with the machine he started with .
Kid doesn't know how good hes got it. I used to sit on a pot in the L2 and it was always air conditioner but alot of condensation gave me a constant shower. That withy barley dust was itchy, and little louder inside. My dad would all of a sudden jump out check loss while going and jump back in. L2 had a 426 diesel and kept up with much bigger machines. 2000 acres a year, back in the days when people still used swathers and pickup headers. Versatile 400 of course.
