Glass Masters at Work: Pino Signoretto

Venetian maestro Pino Signoretto is recognized as one of the preeminent glass sculptors in the world today. He trained with celebrated Venetian maestro Alfredo Barbini and became a master himself in 1960, manipulating glass with uncommonly high skill.
Signoretto has worked with international artists and architects, and in many materials, but he remains committed to glass, which he calls the “unrivaled Master of my life..."
Documentary filmmaker Robin Lehman, winner of Academy and Emmy Awards, catches the drama and intensity involved in the creation of works in glass by the maestro Pino Signoretto. This video was made at The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass in 2007. Until now, this film has only been available on DVD.

The greatest glassblowing video of the greatest glassblower in history. Pino is an absolute genius of an artist. He transcends the medium itself.

By far the best artist I have ever seen in glass! I hope he has passed his knowledge to others, so that we can see more of his style, so real, nothing compares

This class was one of the best experiences. I remember it like it was yesterday, and it was a huge honor to have studied with one of the greatest glass masters. I miss you Pino!

I think it would be nice to have each part uploaded on it's own. "Horse and rider Scheherazade and flying Dutchman and Valkyries" and "St Sebastian with mass in b minor" and so on

You could give me a room temperature lump of clay and 2 years, and I don't think I could make a good looking sphere from it. This is like a foreign language
